We often talk about the stone Nandi, perform all kinds of pujas, and offer milk and flowers. Yet, all around us, there are real cows walking the streets, searching for food — often eating plastics and garbage.

And still, we focus so much attention on the stone Nandi, while ignoring the living beings who depend on us.

We hope we can start becoming a little more aware, more conscious, and truly see what we are doing. The real Nandi — in flesh and blood — is right here, walking among us, trusting us.

If we really want to honor them, we must respect them, treat them gently, never hit them with sticks, and care for their safety. Keep their surroundings clean. Avoid litter and plastics that harm them.

God exists in all forms around us. We just need to open our eyes, notice, and take responsibility. Compassion is in our hands — it’s time we act with love, respect, and awareness.
