The Red Footed Tortoise Is a Cute Compact Size Pet which we can house within a small Enclosure as it grows its size will increase slowly as it’s a Moderately Sized Tortoise.
Red footed tortoises is a species of tortoise from northern South America. They have dark-colored, “loaf”-shaped carapaces with a lighter patch in the middle of each scute, and a somewhat lighter-colored plastron. Generally the size of Male red-footed tortoises are larger than females and grow up to 13.5 inches (34 centimeters) long. Females average 11.25 inches (28.5 centimeters) long. Adult male tortoises can weigh up to 20 pounds (9 kilograms).
As they are omnivorous their diet should consist of a wide variety of plant material although live food can be provided at least once per week. Suitably plants and leafs such as horse parsley, hibiscus, Lettuces, Spinach and do include fruits such as Papaya, banana, berries, musk melon, Watermelon, Apples…veggies such as Carrots, Beetroots, Pumpkins, and weeds. And their diet also consists of Proteins such as Superworms, Crickets, Earthworms, bugs, beetles. We can also give Cooked Shrimps, Coocked Chicken, Boiled Eggs, Mushrooms, Mazuri Pellets and Feeds as a rich Source of Protein.
Their Diet must be balanced by providing them with healthy Diet and Enjoying Varieties of Foods as mentioned below

15% Fruits
10% Protein
Red-footed tortoises can live upwards of 50 years. They have been known to live up to 70 years under human care
