So, you're taking your dog to the beach. We've listed some useful things to bring along last time, but there's something even more valuable than pet beach equipment - knowledge π
Get equipped with these important and useful dog beach tips:
π salt water isn't too good for dogs. Aside from making sure your pet doesn't drink it, as it can give them bad diarrhea, make sure to rinse them after swimming in seawater, since it can irritate their skin if it dries on their fur π¦
π try to learn in advance if your dog will like the sea. Look up how their breed is known to act around large bodies of water, and if you can't, you can try to extrapolate from how it behaves around smaller amounts of it - but you never know. One thing is certain - give your dogs lots of encouragement, and don't force it into the water! π
π go to a dog-friendly beach. Besides beach-goers' and municipal attitudes, ideal time and place for a dog walk on the beach will include low tide, calm and not too cold water, and no sharp rocks or litter π―
