Everybody has an opinion.
Not all have the knowledge, experience and ability to back it up.
Especially in today's world, where everyone can share everything with the world be different. Be the one that encourages a healthy discussion, rather than a "who was screaming it louder".
Be the one that takes the time to listen, learn and than respond, confident but humble.
Be the one who tries, who educates themselves.
Be respectful, know your experience and don't underestimate the experience of who ever is on the other side.

If you could give earth a b-day gift, what would it be?
(Would live to see the comments in this one)
The other day I was trying to explain what is to two of students, both are 1st graders and super clever.
The best explanation I came up with was "think of it like a birthday, the world's or earth's birthday".
With no hesitation the two jumped "so we need to find a birthday present"
They suggested all sorts of fun stuff but got me thinking for real.
If this is 🌍 birthday, what would we gift it?
Maybe this year, instead focusing only on ourselves and our resolutions we'd dedicate a moment and think what can we do for the land? For the sea? For our planet?
How can we, humans, give back to the earth?
It's been a rough couple of years here, and between anger, pandemics, media battles, fighting and arguing it seems as though we could use a break and find something that will bring us closer together (though I kinda like the social distancing thing )
Instead of batteling over who's right and who's wrong why not try respecting ones choice and improving our own?
Why not change the way we live, just a little but and add another resolution to the list, another goal.
THIS YEAR, IM GOING TO BE BETTER, TO MYSELF AND MY PLANET.

In order to 'work on the feet' you have to start with the head.
Often times when I take on a new client horse I'm asked to "work on their feet" and have them more gentle about it. Though 99% of time the legs are not the issue.
When a horse is uncomfortable and experiences uncertainty while not being able to move of course they won't pick up their feet.
Picking up the feet will be a piece of cake to the horse and human once the horse is confident and no longer has that need to runaway. Therefore once we do ask for that foot they won't feel unsafe about picking it up.
It is up to us to build to that, teach them and build up their confidence. And we do that by working on following and moving away from pressure, creating softness, leading from the feet and much more.
But the bottom line is, if your horses won't pick up their feet, rewind and work on the back down (in that case). You'll be Mazed at what it can do.

כמה גאווה!
אז, לאחרונה עלה הרעיון לחזור להתחרות בזכות שתי תלמידות מעוררות השראה והנה אחת מהן שכבר מתכוננת 🤠

לפעמים, לשבת ולצפות מעט מהשוליים עוזר לחבר נקודות ובדיוק על זה עבדנו. לחבר בין הקטעים השונים, אין לחבר בין מכשולים ולהתנהל נכון בקטעי הקישור של המסלול ולא רק כל מכשול בפני עצמו. והפעם- פתיחת ךאסו תוך כדי תנועה, מעבר לטרוט, סווינג וביצוע מסלול חביות, תפיסת החבית האחרונה והקפתה.
ביצוע מרשים ביותר של תמרי הרוכבת, וכמובן שפעם הבאה בקנטר😎

והכי חשוב לא לשכוח, להנות, לגוון ולמצוא את הקטעים שבין לבין.

Jewel is 2.5 y.o, and since he's got some growing to do we have decided to do a session once/twice a week until he is 3 yo and/or a bit bigger.
So far he is one amazing c**t, and he is the living proof that quality is far more important than quantity.
He is already been out on a trail ride (ponied), he's got so much feel and try that we even had a saddle on him.
Today we played with the tarp a little but and he did amazing.

Some days, need no filter.
Getting to combine my work which I am passionate about and getting a degree (and working out, taking time for myself, friends and family) is a huge challenge and take tons of planning, yet I wouldn't change it.
Some time, when we feel like there's no time and our schedule is full we learn how to prioritizing and truly be in the moment.

If you can't- try again (and again).
I love this video, and horse and rider!
When we started working together backing up was a huge challenge.
Beauty (the mare in the video) was so afraid of the bit and lacked confidence in the riders body and hands to top all that she did have some sticky spots we worked on.
Backing up 1 step without had throwing, ears back, pulling, kicking and all the works was a huge accomplishment.
NOW we can park her fancy butt in reverse and that is HUGE.
We didn't force it, just tried, different things and did a little bit- a lot. Like said.
Message is; never quit trying. You'll get there.
And of course, don't be afraid of changing things and figuring out a new way.
