Mileutis is an Israeli company that develops pharmaceuticals for animals.

Since 2020 they have been developing at Refet Gezer, part of their new research project related to drying cows before calving.

Marcos Ben Elías, manager of Refet Gezer, says about the collaboration of the Kibbutz in this project: "To grow you have to give way to technological advances".

A team of veterinarians, Ori, Hadar, Maia, Michal, Yael and Meir, perform procedures related to this project every week.
In the photographs Ori executes part of these activities.

Agrostudies is an international training center which provides a program for agricultural education in Israel to interns from developing countries around the world.

Refet Gezer joined the program four years ago and we have already hosted 10 veterinary students from Cambodia.

The original idea was linked to solving a labor problem and at the same time making a contribution to the image of the State of Israel.

Marcos Ben Elias, manager of the dairy, says in this regard that: "It creates a win-win situation.
At first it cost us due to the work culture and the lack of language that communicates to us, but that is something that over the years we have been solving "

The program combines frontal instruction and theoretical studies with work in practical agricultural internships on farms around Israel.

The internships are based on the “Learning by Doing” method, by which the participants gain first-hand experience of advanced agricultural technologies and methods at an international standard in various specializations.

The goal of the program is to directly connect the theoretical knowledge the participants study to the implementation of modern agriculture.
Graduates of the program become leading agriculturists in countries where agriculture is largely for sustenance.
