I went into Avrahami's new makolet in the Dagan yesterday and bought Chanukah Lights.
I also bought tea candles.
I decided this year we will all light the 44 traditional lights, and an extra 56 candles, in hope for the return of our brethren from Gaza.
We are over the hardships of the first year of avelut. I feel we have come to some kind of acceptance of our new reality, and this year I'd like to dedicate to miracles and hope. Countless miracles we have seen throughout the year. And hope for a Chanukah Miracle; return of our hostages, and the eradication of Hamas.
I'd like to also celebrate private miracles. The miracle that in one day of the war last year, Micha encountered close to 40 roadside bombs. One that the explosion was so big, it eventually stopped his team from continuing forward into Jenin. Unfortunately in that explosion Micha lost his hearing in the left ear, and the shock wave caused trauma to his hip, which needed to be replaced.
And above all the added PTSD, and the last 6 months which he's spent in recovery.
Our family is so fortunate that although Micha is injured, he is home, and is able to celebrate Chanukah with us.
As we thank G-d for our personal miracle, I'd like to thank our community too.
The help and support from everyone has been endless. From our family, friends, friends who are family, neighbors, the moesta and social services. And from our dear clients.
Who stuck by us through thick and thin. Also when I decided to close the store twice a week so I can accompany Micha to therapy and his rehabilitation center. And when I cut down on delivery days and grooming hours. For the days when they walked into the store, saw me crying and came to give me a silent hug. For being extra understanding.
And now it's my time to give back.

מיכה שלנו היה במילואים ולכן החנות לא פעלה במתכונת רגילה.
קודם כל רצינו להגיד תודה למיכה ולכוחות הביטחון , שפעלו ועדיין פועלים יום ולילה לשמור עלינו.

Are you ready??
We're not...
But we're definitely on our way!!
Every day we're coming up with new ideas...
A Cafe? Healthy shake bar? Smoked meat? Smoke shop? Vintage clothing? Macrame art?
When you come from a creative family, sometimes it's hard to choose just one.
So we're thinking of trying to have it all!!
An awesome boutique center at the Achuza.
Can't wait to see it all take shape over the summer.
So excited for our new beginnings!!

The Katzes Are Back!!
What a turbulent year it's been for us all...
We're so happy Micha and Shir have both finished their service and we're all back home together again.
Now it's the time to pick up the pieces, and rebuild.
I always dreamed of opening a spa. I wanted to put my 8 years at Reidman College to use.
Well......
Shir decided to go learn hairstyling and color.
Aria is in the middle of a gel nail course.
Galya is mixing potions and oils, coming up with new perfumes every day.
Micha will be helping with the dog grooming salon again, and that leaves me to go on my next endeavor.
Thai Massage and Aromatherapy here I come!!
Hopefully we'll have a grand opening soon enough.
I promise to keep you posted......
