A lot of brands of Saddle Soap have Glycerine and other ingredients that are not compatible with the natural bull leather of the Erreplus saddles and girths- the leather which makes them so durable for the long term.
Recently a customer was changing to a different Erreplus model and when I received the old saddle back the leather was compromised and 'wrinkly' looking due to the wrong products, decreasing its second hand value.
If you have bought a new saddle, using wrong products will invalidate your warranty and if its an older saddle they will shorten the lifespan of the leather work.
Except perhaps a few times a year, avoid putting any soap, even Erreplus Balsam, on the billets as you do not want them to soften and stretch.
