Dog grooming isn’t just about making your dog look pretty. Of course, we bathe and dry your dog, but we also check the condition of their skin. We can notice things like lumps or growths that may be worth getting checked by a vet – and if your dog matters to you, these little things are very important.
We remove the loose, dead coat, dirt and everything else that builds up in the coat over time. And here’s the thing: no dog wants to stand patiently for 1.5–2 hours while I try to remove months or even years of built-up dirt, dead coat and matting all at once through bathing, drying and brushing.
If you don’t bring your dog regularly, for example four times a year, grooming can become a much more stressful experience for them.
Last year, when you brought your dog to a random groomer who happened to have an earlier appointment available, the girl didn’t have much experience, and there was a full year’s worth of dirt and dead coat built up in the coat. So that couldn’t have been a particularly enjoyable experience for your dog either.
Regular grooming with an experienced groomer is one of the keys to keeping your dog calm and comfortable. They are greeted and groomed by someone they know every time, they become familiar with the routine, and they know what to expect. This means much less stress for your dog.
So, what’s more important: saving the cost of couple grooming appointments, or making sure your dog is comfortable, happy and stress-free? ❤️🐾
