Hi sorry we havent updated for ages but weve been rushed off our feet with our foster greyhounds and also the dogs weve been fostering for our friends at Animal Help net.Charlie the lab x pup was found racing around on the main rd. Just outside our house by some kind neighbours late one evening and they alerted me to him!Gorgeous face, floppy ears, covering everyone in licks.......he looked like something off a calendar!Luckily Animal help net put him up on their page and he wasnt with us for long!Snapped up by a lady who had recently lost her dog,and they were absolutely thrilled when they met him!Weve also been fostering Princess a gorgeous Staffie!very friendly and great with adults and kids but,as is often the case with Staffies, not too happy about other animals!:-DOur most unusual visitor to date is Kieran the tiny newborn donkey foal. His mother rejected him at birth so he got no colostrum-a real challenge! We were supplying his owners with goats milk to try and feed him as goats milk is so good for all baby animals, and weve successfully reared little ones on it in the past. However when he was two days old his owners decided to hand him over to us as the commitment needed was too great and he wasnt given a great chance of survival. However now Kieran is six days old, holding his own and feeding well!At first we fed him every half hour-lucky i have willing children!-and by Day 3 he was looking brighter. Now hes still in isolation as his immune system will be very poor and the risk of infection is great but hes strong, cuddly and starting to get cheeky-toddling round after us and going through our pockets!Very many thanks to our friends at Animal help net for their marvellous support and thanks to everyone who sent their prayers and best wishes(and also everyone who can be bothered to read all this:-D)Hes a lucky little donkey!
