Puppy visits made positive 💙🐾
Ned popped in for his second vaccination today, and he was the bravest boy 😍💉
Ned will be joining us once a month until he is 6 months old for free puppy checks with a nurse - including weigh-ins, flea and worm advice, and of course plenty of treats and affection 🤍 This will help Ned get used to coming to the vets and making it a positive experience!
All of our puppies and kittens can do the same!! 🐶🐱

Keeping Pets Cool During a Heat Wave ☀️🐾

💧 Keep Water Available

* Always provide fresh, cool water
* Place extra bowls around the house
* Add ice cubes or frozen pet treats

🚶 Walk at Cooler Times

* Walk dogs early morning or late evening
* Avoid exercise in peak heat
* Hot pavement can burn paws

🏠 Keep Pets Cool Indoors

* Use fans or air conditioning
* Provide shaded, cool resting spots
* Cooling mats or damp towels can help

🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars

* Cars heat up dangerously fast
* Even a few minutes can be fatal

⚠️ Know the Signs of Heatstroke

Watch for:

* Heavy panting
* Drooling
* Weakness or tiredness
* Vomiting
* Bright red gums
* Collapse

Does your cat seem to be constantly grooming?

This can lead to hair thinning or loss and skin sores, usually around the belly, sides and the inside of the back legs.

Overgrooming is often a sign of a skin problem, but it can sometimes be caused by pain or anxiety. When a cat grooms, endorphins are released, which can soothe a ‘stressed’ cat and be a form of self-soothing. Cats are very good at hiding if they’re unhappy in their environment.
