We provide support and education with compassion where and when needed in Co. Second Chance Animal Rescue Limited is a voluntary animal welfare group based in Shannon, Co. We have two catteries, one in Labasheeda and the other in Kilmurray McMahon. We need help with fundraising and getting homes for many of the cats, dogs, kittens and puppies that are unwanted or abused. We will try to help where

Calvin, 1 year old Male Black & White Boston Terrier lost on the R473 Kilmurry McMahon area, Co. Clare after a Road Traffic Collision yesterday (04/08/2025). Please do not chase as he is extremely traumatised after RTC. Please report all sightings. Thank you 🥰🐾🐾

A small dog was found brutally attacked and left for dead in a field. He’s in critical condition—barely hanging on. One of our rescuers just scooped him up and is racing to the emergency vet right now. We don’t know if he’ll survive… but we’re giving him everything we’ve got. He needs a miracle—and you can be part of it. Whether it’s a donation, a foster home, or simply sharing this post, every action counts. Contact all your local TDs and urge them to support Deputy Coppinger's Animal Health & Welfare (Ban On Fox Hunting) Bill when it returns to Dail Eireann. Contact the leaders of Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Sinn Fein and the Labour Party. Tell them that you want fox hunting, hare coursing and all bloodsports banned.

This is Tristan, hes about 18 months old and was found tied up in Limerick. He was very emaciated and was suffering from a very bad skin condition and terrible mites. He has been in a foster home for five weeks and is ready to go to his forever home. Hes neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has a very sweet nature, loves people and other dogs, hes housetrained and just loves a nice warm comfy bed.
