Enjoy every journey with your dog like it's going to be your last.
RIP Xena Warrior Princess. Taken from us at only 9.5yrs old quite unexpectedly this evening. It goes without saying she was the best dog ever but also one of the best travelled dogs. Having originally coming from Florida, surviving Hurricane Irma then shipped across the country to California, where she survived the North Californian fires that happened only weeks later. Adopted by a family then returned a week later for being too high energy. We then found her, spent a couple of years in San Francisco with her before travelling Mexico with her for about 18mths then bringing her home to Ireland.
I'll never forget the day we met you. We knew you were the one right away so we agreed to meet her in the paddock area and she ran and jumped into my arms immediately and I burst into tears right away saying "yeah, she's the one!". You were there to watch me finally become an adult in my late 20's and I'm so grateful you were there to watch our family grow with Oscar and Cleo.
Now you're gone and all I'm filled with is regret for spending all my spare time the last year trying to build CloakDog and not being with you. There is a hole in my heart now Xena that will hopefully be filled again one day but for now, I mourn. 😪
