Heyyy Facebook friends! So a little update since the last posts!!!! The power of social media is something else! So since the first post we put up regarding certain people....we were inundated with messages, comments, phone calls etc...

Without giving too much away just yet, we are absolutely delighted to say we have something in the works!!! 😬😬😬😬 the sanctuary will be back, BIGGER AND BETTER THEN EVER!! And that's thanks to everyone on here that shared the post. It hit the right people and we have been given an amazing opportunity to continue what we're doing!! To say we are absolutely thrilled is an understatement!!! It's still the same distance as Abbey from . So thank you to everyone again! ❤️❤️❤️

So now the work starts all over again! So we need your help again, we have a gofundme set up. If anyone could spare a couple euro we'd be thrilled. We can get started on enclosures and fencing etc. We rescued 2 donkeys last night, and we need to build a paddock for them! Will post pictures later! They're beautiful 😍 It's going to take some time to get this built again! 3rd time 🤞 but I hope when the day comes and we open our doors you'll all come join us and meet the animals! And I'm sure we'll have more taken in by then! So the dream is going to happen and we're to try build the best animal rescue this side of Ireland!! 💪💪🤞🥹🥹

The plan here was to have levels going up along the walls to give them climbing areas. And to put little benches all the rest of the wall so people could just sit in here and enjoy some time with them. (Animal therapy) kind of thing.

Another video showing more work. The 3 greys and the cockatoo I mention in the video were going to have their own stable like the first video with the macaws. Was going to add lots of real trees. That's why I was growing the bamboo. Some of that bamboo I had been growing for nearly 2 years. I have willow growing for them. Some quite big now. The willow I planted it all myself from cuttings I've gotten from different places. All with the animals in mind!

The aviaries, since we'd moved to the new place we were planning on joining 4 of them to make 2 extra extra large ones for the birds. 💔

I'm posting all these videos so people can see it's not just us they've caused distress to, it's the animals too. Having to move them all again when they were settled and loved their huge enclosures. It wasn't just distressing for them but for us too 😭😭
This was the land around the building. We had already taken in 3 pigs and a goat and had planned to take in a couple of ponies or donkeys. We were also building a huge rabbit and guinea pig hotel out here. A huge outdoor sensory area with a sandpit for kids was going out here along with a fairy trail and alot more. We had steel diggers made at the house for kids. The possibilities were endless here. We had a polytunnel set up after this video to grow fruit and veg for the animals. Save on the colossal food bill. 💔

This was for the turtles, we were weeks trying to make a "lid" for the winter, but it was going to take too much time so instead we built them a indoor pond and were keeping this as their summer pond. We had pea gravel for the bottom, bamboo screen wrapped around it and loads of logs for them to bask in the sun. Had pond plants growing to add too. 💔
