Behind the scenes of dog rehabilitation 🐾
What the public don’t always see is where every dog’s journey starts once they have been rescued.
From the moment they come through the doors of Dog Rehabilitation their days are filled with care. Mornings start with the animal care team making sure every dog receives their prescribed medication, special diets, monitoring, and anything else they need.
There are samples to collect for the vets, kennels to clean, bedding to change, wounds to dress, and endless little jobs that make a huge difference to their recovery. And it’s nonstop from the moment the day start.
Throughout the day, dogs are called to veterinary appointments for check-ups, bandage changes, procedures and surgery. Every detail matters. Every dog has different needs, and single one of them deserves every moment that is spent helping them.
This is the part of rescue that happens often happens behind closed doors. It can be exhausting and chaotic, but it is incredibly rewarding.
The next stage of their journey, once cleared by our veterinary team, is to find a home with the dog rehoming team.
