Our annual Cara Rescue Dogs Meet-Up is still happening — but we've given it a make-over.

Instead of the usual group dog walk, this year we’re focusing on what matters most: reconnecting with you and your amazing adopted pups 🐶

Join us for a relaxed and fun two-hour event where we’ll enjoy:

• Friendly catch-ups with the Cara team and fellow adopters
• A chance to meet your dog’s original fosters & those who rescued them💛
• Fun competitions/games, raffles, and doggy gift bags.

We are giving away a DNA test worth over €100 as one of the prizes.

Human & Doggy refreshments 😋

We are super excited and honoured to also have a team of experts there on the day ⬇️
●Canine nutritionist ●Holistic Vet
●Dog behaviourist ●Professional trick trainer.
● Photographer
● Qualified groomers offering complementary nail clips & ear checks

You'll still be welcome to take your dogs for a stroll around the area if you wish — but the focus this year is on gathering together, swapping stories, sharing tail wags, and celebrating the amazing dogs that found homes through Cara.

We can't wait to see you there!

🟢 All dogs must be on appropriate secure leads/ harness or muzzled if legally required. No dogs are permitted off lead at any time.
We ask all dog owners to bring their own p**p bags but if needed we can provide.
Emo parklands is a stunning place where we are lucky enough to be allowed to use each year. We ask that all in attendance respect & leave it as we find it ❤️🐾

We are so excited to get back into social meet ups for the summer in Woofland Dog Park Portlaoise , starting on Sunday the 1st of June .These were great fun last summer and a great opportunity for dog owners to learn more about their dogs body language 😀

Social Sessions are back in Portlaoise!! 🎉 🎉

Starting from NEXT Sunday we will be running small-med and med-large doggy meet ups alongside the amazing team. 🐶 🙋 💕

⏰ The meet ups will be held every other Sunday from 3:00-3:40pm (small-med) and 4:00-4:40pm (med-large).

Our dog meet ups are open to friendly and social dogs only. Please make sure you have read the Rules of the Park before booking. 📖 💖

Isn't this just perfect dog walking weather?
Not so nice if your dog is constantly pulling on the lead though!

3 week course- Private sessions
It is natural for dogs to walk much faster than humans, so they need to learn to wait up for us. Communication is key to achieving a nice loose leash walk, and of course, rewarding good behaviour makes it worthwhile for our dogs.
Our 3 week lead work course consists of one session lasting 1½ hours and two follow up sessions lasting 1 hour each, these are private one to one sessions.
We can arrange dates to suit your schedule, contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp for more information or to book your spot.
