We are a team of 4 vets & 2 vet nurses combining experience & compassionate care to provide your pets Our clinics run using an appointment system.

Our spacious clinic has been designed to suit the needs of our small animal clients with large bright consulting and waiting areas, comfortable heated kennel spaces, a fully equipped operating theatre and a diagnostic imaging room. Our clinic is regularly inspected by the Veterinary Council of Ireland ensuring that very high standards of care and practice facilities are maintained. All our vets an

d nursing staff partake in regular continuing education courses and programmes to ensure your pet receives the most up to date veterinary care. We endeavour to provide our clients with a range of treatment options to fit within their budget. Clinic times Monday - Friday 4.00 - 6.00 & saturday 11.00 - 1.00 please phone (090) 6481963 to make an appointment. If clients are unable to attend during clinic times please contact us and we can easily provide appointments, during opening hours, at a time that suits them. ☀️🐾 NELLY SAYS... STAY COOL THIS HEATWAVE! 🐾☀️

The sunshine is great, but hot weather can be dangerous for our furry friends. 🥵🐶🐱

💧 Always provide plenty of fresh water

🌳 Ensure your pet has access to shade and a cool place to rest

🚶 Walk dogs during the coolest parts of the day — before 10am and after 6pm 🌅

🐾 Check pavements with the back of your hand before heading out

❄️ Use cooling mats, damp towels or pet-safe cooling aids

🚫 Never leave pets in cars — even for a few minutes
🚫 Avoid walks and vigorous exercise during the hottest hours of the day
🚫 Don't ignore signs of overheating such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or collapse

This little vampire was found on a patient today at Moate Vet Hospital… and it was SO engorged that it actually fell off by itself during a procedure! 🤢

Ticks aren’t just unpleasant — they can spread disease, cause irritation, infections, and make your pet very uncomfortable. With warmer weather here, we are seeing more and more of these unwanted hitchhikers! 🌿🐶🐱

Age: 4½ years old
Breed: Chocolate Point Ragdoll
Last Seen: 3rd May at approximately 11pm

Ace is dearly missed by his family, and they are very anxious to have him home safe.

Coco has been visiting us here at Moate Vet Hospital for regular bandage changes while recovering from a leg injury 💙🐶

While healing is our top priority, our nurses couldn’t resist adding a little creativity to Coco’s bandages — because who says recovery can’t be stylish too? 🎨🐾 From paw prints to hearts ❤️, Coco is rocking each new look like a pro!

Bandage changes are an important part of the healing process, helping to keep wounds clean, protected, and on the right track for recovery 🩺💪

Coco has been an absolute star 🌟 throughout it all, and we’re delighted to be part of their journey back to full health!

This young adult female cat was found on the road in Monkstown, Mount Temple yesterday evening 💔

She is a beautiful tabby and was wearing a pink plastic collar 🎀

She is currently safe and being cared for, but we would love to reunite her with her owner 🏡💕

From today, our highly trained team of pigeons will be delivering repeat prescriptions straight to your door — fast, reliable, and eco-friendly 🌍✨

🚨 A few important notes:
• Weight limits apply (our pigeons are strong… but not that strong 😅)
• Service currently available within a 5km radius of the clinic
• Please ensure windows are open for smooth delivery — they’re still perfecting their landing skills 🪟😂

This service is being introduced on a trial basis… so please be patient with our new recruits 🐦🎓
