Pocket visited us today to have a polyp removed from her ear, which was causing her significant discomfort. Dermatologist Kathryn successfully removed the polyp with a snare loop through our video-otoscope. A minimally invasive way to resolve a very uncomfortable problem!

Mia the Shih Tzu presented to us for CO2 laser surgery 13 days ago. Mia’s right wrist has a tendency to over-extend, which led to chronic folding of the skin on the upper side of her wrist, above her foot. Skin does not like to fold unnaturally, and the folded skin became grossly thickened with recurrent infections of the hair follicles. We excised the affected skin via CO2 laser surgery just 13 days ago, and Mia is on course to be healed for Christmas! After many months of wearing a cone, she is well on the road to recovery. We’re very proud to be the only vets in Ireland offering CO2 laser surgery. 16-year-old Murphy visited us recently for CO2 laser ablation of the warts of his face, which kept catching on things and causing him significant discomfort. The procedure can be performed using local anaesthetic only, with a small amount of sedative for anxious pets. Look at his handsome face now! He will be fully healed in another week
