Malahide Veterinary Clinic provides a professional service designed to fulfil the needs of our clients and their pets.

In this practice our areas of expertise covers all companion animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds as well as exotics such as snakes and reptiles, and chelonians such as tortoises and terrapins. Weighing in at under and just over 3 kg, they may be tiny, but good dental health is just as important for little mouths as big ones 🦷✨

The dog really did eat my homework! 📚✏️

Annie came to see us after her family noticed ongoing signs of separation anxiety.
Despite working closely with both a behaviourist and a trainer, she was still struggling when left alone — including some very creative stress-relief… like eating the children’s homework 📝

Separation anxiety can show up in many ways, and even with great training support, some dogs need a little extra help. Dr George is going to see if we can find a way to help Annie feel safer and more settled at home 🤍🐾

🐶 New puppy after Christmas? 🐾

With all the excitement of a new arrival, one really important thing can be easy to overlook: vaccinations.
Puppies have immature immune systems and are very vulnerable to serious diseases like parvovirus, distemper and leptospirosis until their vaccine course is complete.

Vaccinations help:
• Protect your puppy when they’re most at risk
• Prevent life-threatening illness
• Keep other dogs in the community safe

Until fully vaccinated, it’s best to avoid dog parks and busy public areas.
If you’ve recently welcomed a puppy and aren’t sure what they need or when, your vet team is always happy to help 🐕🤍
