Fox Veterinary Clinic in Finglas gave Jess and Riley a clean bill of health before our volunteers Anne and Pat brought them to the DSPCA Pet Hotel & Doggie Daycare for a weekend away!

Jess and Riley's family are gone to Barretstown for the weekend - using our services meant nobody having to stay at home to mind the pooches 🐶

We're delighted to be able to help this family have a precious weekend together, safe in the knowledge their furry friends are being well looked after ❤️

Here are two of Ruth's beloved pets, Oscar and Lottie. Ruth is our receptionist with nearly 14 years of experience. Oscar has had quite a challenging journey in his 6 years. He survived being shot, which resulted in the loss of his tail, and he was also hit by a car, which left him with broken hips. Thanks to the skilled veterinary surgeons and his monthly mobility injections, he’s still here to share his story. While Oscar isn’t a fan of vet visits, the calm atmosphere at our fear-free hospital helps him stay relaxed for his monthly injections. At home, Lottie is always by his side, lovingly ensuring he gets all the cuddles, whether he’s in the mood for them or not!

This is Fluffy, one of Donna's other cats. At 15 years old, she was diagnosed with early kidney failure two years ago and also struggles with arthritis. We faced the challenge of managing her pain without further harming her kidneys. Thankfully, veterinary advancements have led to the development of a monthly injection that keeps Fluffy pain-free from arthritis while protecting her kidneys from the side effects of traditional arthritis medications.. While we know we can't cure Fluffy's kidney failure, we can improve her quality of life by ensuring she stays pain-free and enjoys her best possible life.

Meet Leo, Donna’s beloved cat and one of three rescue cats she’s adopted from various veterinary hospitals. Donna, known as the 'mad cat woman' around here, brought Leo home from Emma Plant’s Veterinary Hospital three years ago. Over the years, she’s had her own cats battle various health challenges, including one with diabetes, another with hyperthyroidism, and now one with kidney disease. For our clients, rest assured that if you're facing similar challenges with your pets, many of our staff members have firsthand experience. We can offer real insight into life with a cat’s illness, drawing from our own experiences to support you through your journey.
