We’re Hiring – Experienced Dog Groomer ✨

We’re excited to welcome a new EXPERIENCED DOG GROOMER to our busy salon in Leixlip!
This role can be part-time or full-time (up to 5 days per week).

✅ Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy grooming salon

A genuine love for dogs 🐾

Team player with a positive attitude

Fluent English & excellent customer service skills

🐾 The Importance of Early Grooming for Your Pup 🐾

Say hello to the handsome Bob 🐩 — a 5-month-old Standard Poodle who’s already a grooming pro! Last week was his third visit to a professional groomer and his second time with us here at Janet’s Dog Grooming Boutique. Just look at that pose! 💁‍♂️✨

We start welcoming puppies from 3.5 months of age, two weeks after their kennel cough vaccination. Early grooming plays a crucial role in a dog’s development — not just for coat care but for building confidence too.

Why early grooming matters?

It introduces puppies to the grooming table, baths, dryers, scissors & brushes in a gentle, positive way

✅️ Helps them learn patience, calmness, and trust in being handled

✅️Builds resilience by gently separating from their owner, showing them they will always be collected — reducing the risk of separation anxiety

Meet Gus! He is a Portuguese Water Dog and a top show dog, requiring extremely high-maintenance grooming. During the off-season, he visits us every four weeks, and in show season, every two weeks. Today, we had the pleasure of preparing him for the world's biggest dog show, as he'll be competing this Sunday at Crufts!

His coat and temperament are absolutely amazing, and we have no doubt he’ll be a great success! Portuguese Water Dogs are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and love for water, making them excellent working dogs. They were originally bred to assist fishermen, retrieving nets and even delivering messages between boats.
