ERNIE❤️
Today is a sad day in CAW. Unfortunately Ernie’s new foster placement hasn’t worked out. Ernie’s issues, while not unmanageable are complex.

His foster family have done their very best but unfortunately he is quite unpredictable around their own friendly dog as well as some family members and it’s not going to work out in the long term.

We really need a very specific type of home for Ernie. Ernie obviously suffered terrible trauma when he was young and possibly witnessed serious domestic abuse. He can be very defensive of women against men and can be quite aggressive towards males.

So we are looking for a single female with no kids or other dogs, a secure garden and who has plenty of patience. Ernie does bond very well with females and can be very loving towards them.

He is crate trained and house trained and walks well on the lead. He has also lived with cats without an issue. We know the right home is out there for Ernie, he truly deserves a secure and loving placement.
