Today we say goodbye to our amazing vet nurse Melanie. Your kindness, patience, and genuine care for every animal (and their humans!) have made such a difference. From the nervous first visits to the happy check-ups, you’ve always been there with a calm smile and a reassuring touch.

You’ve been more than just a vet nurse — you’ve been a friend, a comfort, and a huge part of our community. It won’t be the same without you.

It’s not goodbye forever may we add, it’s see you later because Melo will still be back to us for holiday cover!

The sun is shinning inside and out today seeing these two bright lights visit us. Granny Nell and her granddaughter Ziggy were on their best behaviour getting their vaccines this morning.

🐈‍⬛ Cat Found - Kinvara Area

This lovely (unchipped) young cat was recently found in distress in the Kinvara area.

She unfortunately birthed two deceased kittens and received some emergency care at Kinvara Bay Veterinary Clinic.

She is now spayed, parasite 🦠 treated and FeLV/FIV negative and recovering in the safe care of Melanie for GCR.

She is almost a week into her ten day stray time and after some TLC to rehab her she will seek a forever home via the adoption form found at www.galwaycatrescue.ie

She is a total lovebug pet of a cat who deserves assured safety in a place to call her own.

Today, Ted, a 55kg Bernese Mountain Dog, was feeling quite sleepy after his neutering this morning. Nurse Melanie carefully held his paw by his bedside, navigating the challenge of his large size.
