Kats Cuts - Grooming Salon

Kats Cuts - Grooming Salon New grooming salon. Grooming experience since 2020. Grooming Diploma. Working with vets. I can do all standard breed cuts.

Every groom I do consists of a brush or a shave according to your wishes, a bath with professional dog products and a blow dry, nail clipping, ear cleaning and emptying a**l glands if possible. Small dogs usually take 2 hours to groom, big dogs 3 hours. A standard cut depends on the breed, but please know that every dog is different and the times may differ. I'm also working with dog's fears and I'm always trying to make the groom a positive experience.

Hello, this is Milo 🐶 He is a Rough Collie and he is the bigger and younger brother to Lola, who I groomed previously. It was his first professional groom and even though the owner warned me he can be snappy, he was a good boy the whole groom. The pictures might look very similar to you, but it was another 5 hour groom, with a lot of brushing, de-matting and a satisfying result. Just imagine how silky he felt afterwards. The owner was relieved and happy with how the groom went. I will see you soon Milo 🥰❤️

Hi, this is Lola, a beautiful Rough Collie 🐶 I’ve known her since she was a puppy, but she was in for a groom with me for the first time recently. The owner was grooming her herself, but has lately fallen a little bit behind with brushing. That resulted in a lot of matting that she couldn’t get rid of anymore and needed my help. This groom took me 5 hours in total, therefore Lola needed a little nap in the middle of it 😴 I believe it was worth the time and effort, look at those lovely colours and the fluffy coat! Good job Lola 🥰

Hello 🐶 This is Kiki and she was in for a groom with me as well. Even though her hair is short, she still needs a good brush and a wash. Regular brushing helps remove loose hair and skin cells, it stimulates production of natural oils in the skin and distributes them to the hairs. This is what gives them that nice shiny look. It is also a good massage, which creates a good bonding time between you and your dog and a good way of teaching your dog to stay calm when being handled. If you need help with choosing the right brush for your dog coat, please let me know. Have a nice day, Katerina

This is Teddy. He is almost nine years old and is a cross between Bichon and Jack Russel. I can’t decide if I like him more shaved and tidy or curly and fluffy. He is the best boy for a whole groom, but when it comes to nail cutting, he would rather be anywhere else. Even though he goes on long walks on roads, his nails grow fast and long, so they have to be cut about every two months. It can be very uncomfortable, painful and dangerous to leave dogs nails to grow long. Long nails can dig into paw pads and cause infection, they can change the weight distribution your dog puts on legs and can cause serious problems with the whole musculoskeletal system in the future. Visit and ask your vet or groomer about nail care as it has a very easy prevention. Love Katerina

This is Lady. She is a three year old Maltichon. She is a lovely girl, that has been used to grooming since she was a puppy, so now she can be stress free while being brushed, shaved or washed. It is very important for dogs to get used to being touched everywhere from a young age, and very helpful for people that work with animals, not just groomers, but vets and nurses as well. If you want more info about how to get your dog used to certain things at any age, please send me a message. Love, Katerina

Hello,
I would like to introduce myself to you a little bit. My name is Katerina Pilkova, I was born in 1993 and I am from the Czech Republic. I studied animal breeding and I worked in a pet shop, a zoo, a shelter and an agency for dog walking and sitting. In 2019 I came to Ireland for a work traineeship. I worked on an animal farm and veterinary clinic where I started grooming. After that I decided to stay in Ireland, I studied multiple courses about grooming and animal health care. In 2020 I got these two little doggies, a Maltichon, Lady and a French Bulldog, Marcel, that you might see when you come over. As you can imagine now I always loved animals and I love working with them. I will do my best when you trust your furry friend in my hands and I will always try to make the grooming experience for your dog a positive one. I can't wait to meet you at Kats Cuts - Grooming Salon, Katerina 🐶
