Last, but by no means least, we would like to introduce our Best In Show judge, Ms Ann Ingram.
Ann is highly sought after the world over as a professional and highly knowledgeable judge. When we were selecting a judge for this our special 50th anniversary show and Crufts Qualifier, there really was only one choice.
We hope Ann has the best day with us and we look forward to welcoming her here to Kilkenny.

Ann Ingram Ireland

I was born into the dog world, with a father who was a Terrier Specialist and a mother who
introduced the Boxer Breed to Ireland, both were All Breeds Judges. I began to show dogs
almost as soon as I could walk and, under the Tirkane Prefix, I have bred or owned, over 100 Irish
and 31 UK champions in Boxers, Boston Terriers, Poodles, and Lhasa Apsos, also 2 World
Winners.
I was 16 when I started to judge, I awarded CCs (UK) in Boxers aged 25, the youngster person
ever to do so. 2026 I will judge the British Boxer Club Ch. Show which will be my 50th year of
awarding CCs in the breed. I have awarded CCS in 60 breeds in the UK across all the groups and
I am currently the only Irish person approved to judge all the groups in the UK and I have had the
huge honour to judge Best In Show at Crufts 2024, the Working group 2023 and the Utility Group
2025, as well as judging all the groups and Best in Show on several occasions at General
Championship Shows.
I became an F.C.I. All Breeds judge in 1984 and have judged all over the world , including
Australian Royals, Several World Shows, AKC Shows, Orlando & Westminster. I have regularly
judged in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa, South America, America and 25
European Countries, around 50 Countries in total.
I judge regularly around the World which in 2025 has included, a trip to Canada, Turkey, Thailand,
Italy, UK and Poland.
I retired from breeding and showing a few years ago after an involvement of over 50 years but still
retain a keen interest in the breeding and development of the breeds. I am still very involved in
working with clubs, Past President of The Poodle Club of Ireland and currently President of the
Boxer Society of Ireland and chair of Munster Agricultural Club, Canine Section.

Next up for introduction is Mr Ralph Dunne.
We are delighted to have Ralph with us as he judges breeds across group 10 and Best Irish Native Breed in Show. We hope he has a fantastic day and he gets a bumper entry.

I would like to thank the Kilkenny & District Canine Club committee inviting me to judge at their 50th anniversary show.
My first involvement in this hobby started in the mid eighties with my golden retriever and from that I have had several different breeds. I have campaigned and bred many dogs to their titles here and in the Uk.
Winning groups and Best in show here in Ireland and the Uk. Most notably BIS at Crufts centenary show with my Clumber spaniel.
Since then I have progressed in my judging been passed to judge groups 5,6,7,8,10 ,some of group 3 and BIS. I have also judged in Europe and USA. Probably the most sentimental appointment was judging my breed at Crufts 2023.
Looking forward to my visit to Kilkenny
Ralph

Moving on to our next Introduction. Next on our list is Mr Sean Carroll. Known far and wide for his world famous Pomeranians and Pappillons, we are delighted to have Sean with us on this special occasion. He will judge breeds in Group 8 and the Group 8 final.

BELLIVER, DENEMORE & TOYBOX INTERNATIONAL SHOWDOGS
Dublin, Ireland

Belliver International Showdogs was founded in the early 1960s by my parents with German Shepherd Dogs. In the early 1980s, I began breeding and exhibiting Pomeranians, establishing the kennel as it is known today.

We operate under three distinguished prefixes: Belliver, Denemore Papillons (established by the late Dolly Kavanagh), and Toybox Pomeranians, the world-famous prefix entrusted to us by my late friend, Eve Smail

Across seven FCI Groups, we have campaigned & produced 196 Champions, including 33 English Champions and 49 International Champions. As breeder-owners, we had won all major competitions within Ireland with multiple Group and Best in Show winners throughout Ireland, the UK, and worldwide.

In 2015, I was awarded FCI All-Rounder Judge status by the Irish Kennel Club and have since enjoyed judging at major shows around the world.

I'm very much looking forward to judging at the Kilkenny Championship Show 50th Anniversary show.

Next up for introduction is Amanda Sammon. We are delighted to have Amanda officiating at our special anniversary show, and Amanda will judge all the Stakes classes and Junior Handling. We hope she has a wonderful day with us and enjoys her judging.

I got my first pedigree dogs ( Airedale Terriers) back in 1985 but it wasn’t until I got married and we purchased our first Norwegian Elkhounds that I started showing in earnest and I have had great success with my Steinark Norwegian Elkhounds and Japanese Shiba Inus.
I am currently qualified to judge all breeds in groups 2, 5, 6 & 10 and I am really looking forward to judging the Junior Handling Classes and the Stakes at Kilkenny & Districts 50th Anniversary Show.

The next one of our progressing judges is Mr James Newman. James will be judging breeds in Group 2 and we welcome him and hope he gets your support at our Crufts Qualifier and 50th anniversary show.

Third generation of a family dedicated to breeding and exhibiting dogs, my grandparents established our family prefix Belliver , which I proudly continue today alongside my uncle, Sean Carroll. Over the years, we have been fortunate to achieve tremendous success in the show ring, winning every major competition in Ireland.

We are also proud breeder-owners of numerous Crufts CC and Best of Breed winners, with recent notable successes in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023, including Toy Group-winning achievements and multiple Group and Best in Show winners throughout Ireland, the UK, and internationally.

Our kennel operates under three distinguished prefixes: Belliver, Denemore Papillon, established by the late Dolly Kavanagh and, more recently, the world-famous Toybox Pomeranian prefix, entrusted to Sean by his late friend and mentor, Eve Smail.

I am currently a Championship Best in Show judge, approved to judge all breeds at CACIB level within Groups 3, 5, and 9, and I am presently progressing through Group 2 also award Challenge Certificates in Pomeranian & Papillon in the UK.

I am very much looking forward to judging at the Kilkenny Championship Show 50th Anniversary show.

Now we have the next of our progressing judges, Mr Liam Delaney. Liam will be progressing in Group 3, and we want to welcome him and hope he has a super enjoyable day.

Liam Delaney (Carliams)

I have been involved in the world of dogs and horses from a very young age, with a lifelong passion for purebred dogs and exhibiting at a high level.

For the past 15 years, I have actively shown and bred dogs alongside my father, Ger Delaney, under the well-established “Carliams” prefix, building a respected reputation within the terrier community both in Ireland and internationally.

To date, I have successfully bred and made up 15 Champions in Ireland across several terrier breeds, including Irish Terriers, Airedale Terriers, and Welsh Terriers, in addition to achieving several valued Champion titles in Germany and Luxembourg.

Many of our dogs have also enjoyed international success, producing champions in countries including Germany, Russia, Sweden, Lithuania, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

Several of our homebred dogs have gone on to make a significant contribution to the breed internationally, travelling to countries such as Germany, the United States, Sweden, and Italy, where they have been used in breeding programmes to help shape future generations of quality Irish Terriers.

I have also had the opportunity to work in the United States, where I was mentored by some of America’s top professional handlers while working as a full-time assistant, further broadening my experience in presentation, conditioning, and breed evaluation.

Over the years, I have developed hands-on experience with a wide variety of breeds, including German Shepherd Dogs, Rottweilers, Jack Russell Terriers, Lakeland Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, and Irish Water Spaniels, giving me a well-rounded appreciation of canine structure, breed type, movement, and working capabilities.

Within the dog world, I remain actively involved in breed promotion and administration, currently serving as Secretary of the All Ireland Irish Terrier Club, as well as a committee member of the Irish Native Breeds Club and the Dublin Irish Blue Terrier Club.

I am delighted to accept this judging appointment and look forward to what I am sure will be an enjoyable day. My sincere thanks to the Kilkenny & District Canine Club for their kind invitation.

Next on the list is the first of our progressing judges, Mr Alec Stewart. Alec will judge breeds in group 7 and we welcome him and hope he has a great day.

I would like to thank the committee of Kilkenny Canine Club for giving me the opportunity to judge at their prestigious show.
I am currently on my third progression in group 7 and looking forward to judging some new breeds.
I have judged extensively in the UK, Ireland and further afield in Finland.
Later this year I will be awarding my first set of CC’s in my beloved breed, Irish Setters of which I am a very proud partner of the world re known Gwendariff kennel.
At the very start of my career, I was told to always give back to the dog show world, so at present I am Chairman of Portadown Canine Club.
As a qualified dog instructor, I along with my fellow committee members run training classes for like minded dog show people to help improve and hone their skills in the ring.
It gives me so much pleasure to see new handlers and dogs enjoying their new found hobby. Winning a place card at a show is for me the icing on the cake.
I look forward very much to meeting you all at Kilkenny's 50th anniversary show.

Next up for introduction is Lars Hjelmtvedt from Norway. This is a return visit to Kilkenny for Lars and we welcome him back for our special Anniversary show.

My interest in dogs started at an early age and has, over the years, developed into a broad involvement in hunting, field trials, and dog shows.
I received my first wirehaired Dachshund as a gift from my parents – one soon became two, and with that came a growing interest in both shows and trials. My breeding began with my first litter in 1998, and in 2000 the first litter was born under the kennel name Larhjelm.
To date, I have bred 99 show champions, something I am both grateful for and very proud of. Kennel Larhjelm was Breeder of the Year (all breeds) at the Norwegian Kennel Club shows in both 2013 and 2017 and was also honoured with the Norwegian Kennel Club’s Breeder Award in 2018.
In 2008, I was authorized as a judge for my first breeds – naturally, Dachshunds. Since then, I have expanded my repertoire to include breeds in Groups 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
The dog world has also given me the opportunity to be involved in various roles and committees, which has been both educational and rewarding over the years.
Judging gives me great pleasure, but the joy of breeding and exhibiting my own dogs is equally meaningful.
I look forward to judging at your show.
