Poor aul Sparky is still waiting for his forever home 😞. He’s now 6 months old and it’s just so sad as all he wants is a loving home where he is adored as he deserves.

We took him in at 10 weeks old where he had been found in a ditch -starving, flea and worm ridden and infected coat.

He went off to foster with the brilliant Jamie and Trevor and they helped him recover so much and loved him but they couldn’t keep him. You should now see his absolute fabulous chocolate coat now !!

So he’s now in my home with our dogs and is such a lovely lovely pup 😍🥰 and gets on great with them all but unfortunately our Oldie is upset with a pup being in the house !!

Sparky is an absolute gem of a pup - typical pup full of curiosity and fun and typical of a sighthound after 10 minutes he just wants to be on the couch 🥰🥰. He’s completely housetrained and has had no accident in the 2 weeks he’s been here and lets you know on the minute when he wants to go out. LOVES LOVES other dogs but Leai has already influenced him to not like cats 😞.

Have to say he’s an absolute pleasure and so clever and understands all commands and obeys them - apart from plastic flower pots that he thinks are his toys !!

He’s fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered when he’s finished his growth spurt.

We cannot say enough good things about Sparky, he’s just adorable but will definitely need a home with another dog as he thrives in dog and human company and not the type of dog to be on his own and he’s still only a pup.

He’s crate trained also and he’s such a lovely little big pup♥️♥️.

If anyone is interested in him please message us with as much information as possible.

A secure indoor home is a must and a fully secure garden where he can run around for short periods of time ( he loves the couch 🥰).

Homechecks, Adoption contract and T&C’s apply.

Please please if you can share for this

Our beautiful , little boy Sparky is still looking for his forever home. We can’t understand it tbh, he’s absolutely incredible in every way. 🩷.

We are worried that the longer he remains in his foster home the closer he gets to his lovely foster family and he adores them all already.

All Sparky wants is to play a bit, a good indoor home and more than anything a couch ( he loves snuggling on the couch ) and a warm hearted person/ family that will give him what he deserves 🙏.

His fosters adore him and have nothing but great things to say about him. He’s an absolute joy in the house and very little trouble - he just wants to be loved ♥️.

He’s so good with people and other dogs and loves kids too. We really want him to go to an home with another dog of we can ?

We need to do everything we can for him and if you think you could give this special little puppy a home we would be delighted to talk to you.

He’s approx 17/18 weeks old, fully vaccinated and microchipped and already crate trained and house trained.

If you are interested in giving him his deserved home please message us 🙏😍.

Otherwise if you can share for him PLEASE.

Homechecjs and T&C’s apply.

The most beautiful Boy in the world - our lovely Sparky is still waiting on his forever home 😞.

He is such a beautiful boy in everyway and his brilliant Fosters have nothing but brilliant things to say about him.

He’s amazing with kids and loves the play and attention but also gentle and can read situations excellently.

He’s very clever and very affectionate and LOVES other dogs and people. He’s only approx 16/18 weeks old and already been through so much in his short life but the bad times are over and we are eagerly looking for his forever home.

He’s been living with other dogs and ADORES them and so for him, we would really love a home with another dog tbh.

He’s crate trained and now also toilet trained ( thanks to his fosters) and just a bundle of love.

We would also like a home where someone is home a fair bit of time as he is only a puppy.

He’s been microchipped and fully vaccinated and looking for his forever home 😍.

If you are interested in giving this little beauty a home please MESSAGE us with as much information as possible and we can arrange a homecheck etc.

Indoor home a must.

Thanks and if you don’t mind can you give this post a share so that we can get Sparky his forever loving home 🙏🙏.

⛄️ 🥶 In light of the very cold weather we are having we wanted to post this and ask everyone of our followers to share. 🥶 ⛄️

There is a Culture We Need to Leave Behind in Ireland and that is Dogs Living outside, regardless of their breed.

With everything we now know about canine behaviour, emotions, and welfare, this is no longer acceptable.

🐾 Dogs are deeply social beings.
They don’t just like being with their families — they need to be. Leaving a dog outside, day after day, leads to loneliness, sadness, anxiety, and emotional distress. It’s heartbreaking to hear dogs crying or barking at night in the cold and wet, while the family simply closes the door and goes on with life. No dog deserves that.

🏡 Dogs need clean, dry, comfortable living conditions.
Large dogs especially require raised beds to protect their joints from osteoarthritis, skin problems, pressure sores, and elbow hygromas. No dog should be lying on cold concrete or in a damp wooden kennel that offers no heat and encourages mould and moisture.

🔗 The “security dog in the yard” mindset must end.
Dogs kept on chains or in yards as deterrents are not living — they are merely existing. They lack socialisation, stimulation, exercise, and companionship. When highly intelligent breeds like German Shepherds or Belgian Malinois are condemned to chains, it becomes one of the cruelest forms of neglect imaginable. They are not “working dogs”, they are prisoners chained up. Buy a security system instead.

❄️ Choosing a dog for how it looks is still causing suffering.
Fluffy Husky and Samoyed pups are cute — until they grow up needing regular grooming, meaningful engagement, and space. Too often they end up neglected, matted and muddy and banished outdoors because no one kept up the maintenance they need. The once besotted owners now can’t be bothered to groom them and decide they prefer their house to be hair and muddy paw prints free and so the dogs are left to live lonely lives in back gardens, forgotten once the “cute puppy phase” is gone.

💔 Let’s be clear: this is neglect. This is abuse.
Ireland must move beyond these old and harmful habits. Dogs deserve companionship, comfort, and dignity — not isolation, chains, or cold backyards.

If your dog lives outside in any of these situations, ask yourself:
Why do I have a dog?
Why am I putting a living being through a lifetime of misery?
Are they in physical pain from living in these conditions
Would I even know if they were?

It’s time for Ireland to do better — for every dog, in every county, in every home.
🐶❤️ A dog is family.

‼️‼️EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED PLEASE ‼️‼️.

Looking for an emergency foster home for 2 x 15/17 week old puppies.

We need to get them indoors as soon as possible. They are living in a shed and person minding them has them snug and warm but we need to get them into a home together indoors so we can get them ready for adoption and safe.

Anyone who has a couple of weeks to help us ? They are adorable little terrier mixed. Mammy is a Jack Russell that we are helping get spayed and they are playful little pups who we need to get secure. All vet bills, food etc will be covered and we will get them ready for adoption asap.

We also know they are great with kids and as pups just need a secure, warm home where we can get them the vet care and attention they need. They need to go together for the moment at least.

If you can help us with a few weeks of foster please message us.

Homechecks will apply along with indoor home with a secure garden also.

If you can’t help, would you mind sharing please 🙏🙏.

Thank you x

Our most beautiful puppy ,Sparky, is now ready for his forever home ♥️🩷.

Isn’t he just fabulous ? And he truly is in every way. His brilliant Fosters have nothing but brilliant things to say about him.

He’s very clever and very affectionate and LOVES other dogs and people. He’s only approx 16/18 weeks old and already been through so much in his short life but the bad times are over and we are eagerly looking for his forever home.

Ideally we would like a home with another dog and he is also young enough to be introduced to cats. He’s just an all rounder!

He’s crate trained and now also toilet trained ( thanks to his fosters) and just a bundle of love.

We would also like a home where someone is home a fair bit of time as he is only a Puppy and so needs both company and of course continued training.

He’s been microchipped and vaccinated and looking for his forever home 😍.

If you are interested in giving this little beauty a home please MESSAGE us with as much information as possible and we can arrange a homecheck etc.

Indoor home a must.

Thanks and if you don’t mind can you give this post a share so that we can get Sparky his forever loving home 🙏🙏.

We would like to say a special Thank you to Jacqui and Family who gave such a generous donation to us in memory of their beautiful Pepsi/ Mr Wiggles who they adopted from us in 2018. He passed away this summer and had an absolutely wonderful life with them for the last 7 years.

I remember the first day they met him and it was love at first sight for Pepsi and Jacqui and I just knew that he was going to be so well looked after 🥰.

And wow was he !! They were all besotted and he lived his absolute best life with them and his bestie the Teddy! Anything Pepsi wanted he got and he truly knew true happiness and love was always so there for him ♥️. He came with some issues as we found out and they did everything and anything for him and committed to him and his well being and happiness so much.

We couldn’t have asked for a better life for Pepsi and the love he got xx

A big THANK YOU to Jacqui and family.

Rest easy our lovely Pepsi - you were so loved ♥️♥️ and gave it back in spades xx.

In Rescue it isn’t just about taking in as many Dogs as you can, sometimes it has to be about caring for the ones you have in your care.

We have a fair amount of long term fosters for one reason or another as they couldn’t find a forever home or we knew taking them on that they weren’t going to be rehomed due to medical issues and sometimes it was just that they had issues that the foster could handle and be so unfair to part them and break their hearts. Either way we support and look after them. ♥️.

Lovely Charlie is one of our long term fosters who was a starved, horrendous case covered in a leathery black skin and very unwell that we took from the pound Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter. We got him into a fabulous foster home and along with our vets they managed to bring him back from the brink and he has lived a medicated and happy life with his best pal Harry.

But now he has been having seizures and been very unwell. Lots of veterinary treatment and tests and then last weekend he went blind and we thought we were going to lose him 😞. We knew he had thyroid disease and immune issues and we have been treating that all along but he now has diabetes and more investigations to happen next week.
We want to continue to give Charlie the best care and go further to give him the best chance !!

After all he has been through he deserves it and with his new insulin regime he has been slowly recovering and feeling better and adapting so well to his blindness but we have no funds to continue this.

We are hoping that anyone who can could give maybe €2 to his care please 🙏.

No matter how small you can give will make a huge difference to us and Charlie to get to the bottom of this and continue his medical care. We have big vet bills and tbh so so little money to continue giving the care to Charlie and our foster dogs that need it.

We are so sorry for asking but we really don’t have any other choice tbh.

Thank you for reading and no matter how small we are very grateful to anyone who can donate. You can donate to any of the following please and thank you ♥️🩷♥️🩷.
