🐕As temperatures rise, it's essential to ensure our furry friends stay safe and comfortable. Here are some simple tips to keep your dog happy and healthy during warm weather:
🐶1. Always provide fresh, cool water for your pet.
🐕🦺2. Walk your dog during the cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening.
🐶3. Never Leave Your Dog in a Parked Car.
Even with the windows cracked, a parked car can become dangerously hot in minutes.
🐕🦺4. Be Mindful of Exercise.
On very hot days, reduce the intensity and duration of your dog’s exercise. Overexertion can quickly lead to heat exhaustion.
🐶5. Keep an Eye Out for Signs of Heatstroke:
Signs of heatstroke in dogs include heavy panting, drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, confusion, or collapse. If you suspect your dog has heatstroke, move them to a cool area, offer water, and contact your vet immediately.
