💔😞Saying goodbye to Pal is something I never imagined I’d have to do. Easter marked a heartbreaking moment as his little body decided it was time to rest after 17 beautiful years. I adopted him 11 years ago from a rescue centre, after his owner passed away. He had already been through so much, including an accident that damaged his spine, but he still managed to walk but it was getting worse.
As the years went on, Pal’s mobility worsened. He had a surgery that didn’t work, and eventually lost strength in his back legs. We went to physio three times a week—two hours each time of driving - but he would just sit there, stubborn as ever! After months of effort, I finally got him wheels, but it took him 8 months to even give them a try. He hated them, but I couldn’t help but laugh at his refusal.
He was the most lovable, stubborn little guy. I couldn’t even sit in my office chair without him barking for cuddles. He was my constant companion—through nappy changes, bandages, 5am breakfast barks, and walks with his wheels. There’s such a huge void now. I’ll miss his loud snores in the kitchen and his big personality.
Rest in peace, my little legend ❤️
