To all my clients,
In this ever changing time of COVID19, I would like to inform you that I am still open for business until the government and officials say otherwise. However, due to the outbreak I have changed my policy to 'one dog in the salon at any one time' (or multiple if from same household) to allow for further sterilising and hygiene practices between client appointments.
Although the doctors, vets and scientists believe, at this time, that dogs do not transmit this virus to humans, infected humans may transmit very low dose of infection to their dogs. Therefore, general hygiene practices such as hand washing after touching your pets is advised and not letting your dog lick your face. If you do get infected with COVID19, your pet should be quarantined within the home as your two legged family members are and minimising contact between you and your pet is encouraged.
I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding at this time and wish you all safe.

The Center for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) has released the following statement:
“While this virus seems to have emerged from an animal source, it is now spreading from person-to-person in China. There is no reason to think that any animals including pets in the United States might be a source of infection with this new coronavirus. To date, CDC has not received any reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19. At this time, there is no evidence that companion animals including pets can spread COVID-19. However, since animals can spread other diseases to people, it’s always a good idea to wash your hands after being around animals.”
