Have you ever heard of cat acne or seen a cat with a bit of a dirty looking, uncomfortable chin?

Feline acne is caused by too much sebum and keratin being produced. It commonly appears as blackheads and pimples on the chin.

If your cat is suffering from this keep bowls clean, preferably
stainless steel or ceramic bowls and clean daily.

Clean their chin after feeding and if things still haven’t improved come pick up an over the counter antibacterial wash for persistent cases.

🦊Fox cub rescue 💕

Last week we had a fox cub attend our clinic. He was 1kg, cold, collapsed and hypoglycaemic after loosing his mother on the road the day previous. Leo was rescued by the formidable team at Galway Cat rescue and brought to the clinic for treatment with our team.

Leo has made a wonderful recovery and thankfully has joined some other fox cubs at Kildare wildlife rescue for rehabilitation and release into the wild when the time is right.

Oreo, age 15, needed dental treatment. Her dedicated owners have a collection of pennies which have brought luck and good outcomes in all sorts of difficult situations.

Thankfully Oreo has done amazingly well with Dr Ruth and nurse Shauna. Oreo’s family have kindly gifted us a lucky penny of our very own. Thank you!
