Cork Regatta was held over the weekend at the NRC, and there was some great racing and performances from the GRC crews.

On Saturday we had our J18 and J16 ladies racing as well as Lynden Lydon in J18 1X.
There were some strong performances from the club crews, with a 3rd place for the WJ16 4X+, WJ16 8+, 4th for WClub2 8+ and 5th in MJ181X. Unfirtuantely our WJ18 1X and WJ18 2- failed to qualify for their finals.
On Sunday we started the day with a great win for Lynden Lydon in the Mens Club 2 1X, having won his Time Trial he went on to close out his final in style. There was also a 5th place finish for the WJ184- and 6th for Siofra Finnerty in WJ18B 1X.

Well done to all crews and coaches and supporters for travelling to Cork. And to Tony for towing the trailer.

Next stop is the 1K Classic next weekend in Lough Rinn where the countries best J15/14/13 and Masters athletes will compete for their All Ireland glory.

Duties include Teaching, Trekking, other yard duties.

Full time Maintenance person.
Duties include, all day to day yard duties, cleaning out stables, help with feeding and taking care of animals, some heaving lifting is required for this position.

Over the past 2 months, our J18 Boys & Girls squads have not only been busy in the gym and on the water, but also working tirelessly, with the help of a great Fundraising committee, raising much needed funds for their planned training camp to Varese, Italy at the end of March. So far they have ran a cinema evening, a table quiz and an erg-a-thon, with all monies raised going towards the training fund.
During March, they have 3 final events to try and raise as much as they can.
* They're running a bag packing day Saturday March 9th in Dunnes Stores, Westside
* a raffle on the night of Galway Head of the River (March 16th)
