Farran House Farran House Stud is set in the heart of the Tipperary countryside. The house and yard are situated with outstanding views of the Galtee Mountains.

Farran House Stud is set in over 100 acres of County Tipperary's finest pasture land in the heart of the Golden Vale. The Mohore River runs along the bottom of the farm and acts as the boundary going into County Limerick. The house is set in 1.5 acres of gardens, with well-established beds and lawns. There are a grove of trees with wild flowers and plants.

We are delighted to welcome guests from all around the world 🌍 to Farran House Stud and this week was a first for us!

Our guests, Kang Gisuk and his wife, Sujung travelled all the way from Korea!! It was fascinating talking to them about their culture and we are so pleased that they chose the village of Emly for their stopover in County Tipperary 🤩🙏

So very proud of Georgina this past weekend where she competed for Ireland 🇮🇪 and at the International Mini Tetrathlon in England.

A fabulous result for her all girl team to come in🥈place and for her to come 13th individually - phenomenal😍

Many thank you’s but an important one goes to John Flood who gave Georgina this opportunity and for his patience and guidance. Frank Roche our super-organised team manager🤩; Fiona - team kit; Jo Breheny; Rebecca and Ellie and last but not least all of the amazing parents who make these trips so much fun!🫶

We have used Botanica International Ltd products here for years and we were delighted to have Sean Cooney, owner of Botanica, to stay this week.

Not only did Sean give us heaps of equine (canine and human!) skincare advice, he also topped up our Botanica supplies (much appreciated!)🙏

We use Botanica all year around, we never leave the yard without - it literally has a multitude of uses!

Mud rash, rain scald, wounds, sweet itch…the list goes on!

Beautiful 16.1hh 6 year old Bay Mare.

A traditional Irish bred mare with bags of movement and jump. By Farmhill Highlander (ID) out of Out of Woods (TB). Bred and produced by us.

Numerous wins and placings under her belt - a perfect Junior or Amateurs horse.

An easy mare for a child to come off ponies, will look after her jockey. Has done pony club rallies, hacks in a group or on her own, has plenty done. Very straightforward and sensible type.

This mare loves to jump: she is careful and clever over show-jumps and cross country fences. She produces consistent low-score tests. She is quick to learn and enjoys her work. An athletic type who gallops and jumps for fun with plenty of stamina.

At home she is excellent to catch, clip, with the farrier and loads into a lorry or horse-box on her own or with company.

She is ridden in a snaffle and has established lateral movements - ridden by a female adult and 13 year old boy.
