Vets for Cats is a home visiting veterinary service exclusively for cats in the greater Dublin area. The service is developed for cats, who do not like travelling to the vets, and also for their owners who would rather avoid the stress that this can entail. The service is run by veterinary surgeon Julia Ivanova, a registered member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London and a
member

of International Society of Feline Medicine, and so she regularly receives the latest information on treatment and management of diseases in cats. Julia is also registered with The Veterinary Council of Ireland and works in St Francis Dispensary Charity Clinic in Dublin 8.

Ziggy is such a stunning-looking boy! He was in St Francis Vets getting his teeth cleaned this week.
When he was asleep and his tongue fell out, we noticed that a little bit of the tongue is missing, probably due to an old injury. It does not seem to bother Ziggy, and he is eating just fine.

This year the Feline Medicine Conference is held in Edinburgh, Scotland, and covers new developments on treatments of infectious diseases in cats, including FIP, responsible use of antimicrobial medicines, and new ways of managing pancreatitis and cholangitis. All.sounds very exciting !

Like with many of our patients, we can only do what Al lets us to do. This year Al let us do the health check and dental check, his annual vaccine and a nail clip. There was no way we could keep Al on the scales so his body weight remains a mystery.

This is our new patient Szakai. Szakai moved to Ireland from Poland this year.
He is very cute and confident. Szakai does not like injections but does not hold any grudges. He was up on the counter within a minute still talking to everybody after getting his annual cat flu vaccine.

Our Story

Cat only clinic is also available in Celbridge Veterinary Clinic outside of the normal clinic hours - by appointment only. The service is run by veterinary surgeon Julia Ivanova, a registered member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London and a member of International Society of Feline Medicine, and so she regularly receives the latest information on treatment and management of diseases in cats. Julia is also registered with The Veterinary Council of Ireland and has been working in Celbridge Veterinary Clinic since 2002. Julia loves cats, has genuine interest in treatment of cats and empathy with their owners. Julia has the full back-up of the Celbridge Veterinary Clinic and of the fully equipped with the modern surgical and diagnostic equipment Newbridge Veterinary Clinic for patients requiring surgery or further diagnostic investigations.
