A quiet moment of care 🐾✨

Acupuncture can be a gentle, supportive therapy for dogs living with arthritis, stiffness, chronic pain, mobility changes or age-related aches.

Some dogs relax so deeply during treatment that they almost fall asleep — and we love seeing them settle into it 💙

☀️ Keeping dogs cool in warmer weather 🐶

Dogs can struggle much more than we do in the heat, and every summer we see pets becoming unwell from overheating.

A few simple changes can make a big difference: 💧 fresh water always available
🌳 walk early morning or later evening
🚫 avoid hot pavements
🧊 cooling mats/frozen treats
🚗 never leave dogs in cars — even for a few minutes

Some dogs are especially at risk: 🐾 flat-faced breeds
🐾 older dogs
🐾 overweight pets
🐾 dogs with heart or breathing problems

Signs of heatstroke can include: ⚠️ excessive panting
⚠️ drooling
⚠️ lethargy
⚠️ vomiting
⚠️ collapse

If you’re worried your dog may be overheating, place your dog in a cold bath immediately and urgently seek veterinary care. It is important to do the cooling step at home immediately before going to a vet as the longer their body temperature is too high the higher the risk of organ failure

Jessie was an absolute star for her treatment this week. ⭐🐾

She had her acupuncture session alongside her Librela injection, helping to keep her comfortable, mobile, and enjoying the things she loves most.

Acupuncture can be a wonderful addition for pets with arthritis, back pain, or mobility issues. Many patients find it deeply relaxing (some even have a little snooze during their session!).

Well done Jessie — such a brave girl. 💛
