Forever families urgently needed for puppies
Please remember that a puppy is a 24/7 hard work. He needs attention, rest, and training. What you do in the puppy first few months will determine what kind of adult dog he will be.
Avoid leaving your dog to go on holidays, at least for the first 6 months, if not a year.
Before neutering, ensure the puppy is fully grown.
Once the first series of vaccinations is done, consider doing titre tests.
Avoid chemical anti-flea/tick.. as they are poisons. There are a lot of natural ways to protect your new family member.
Avoid food for the pet food industry and go for fresh real food (cooked or raw, depending on what you feel comfortable with).
If your new companion needs medication, do your due diligence and research said medication.
Consider a written journal of your dog’s life on his food and / or health
Don't forget to set aside a budget specifically for your pet. Start while he is still a puppy. Even if you take pet insurance, remember that it doesn't cover everything. And it covers less and less as your dog grows old. The sooner you start, the more you will be financially able to afford those bills when the time comes.
And finally, enjoy your new puppy.
