Hello Everyone and all for babies included ❣️

In regards to opening and appointments I will not be taking any new clients on until further notice. Due to starting a new full time job and also doing a course every weekend I have just enough time to myself.
To my regulars that have contacted me for appointments I will be back to you all as soon as I have a bit of time as I have very limited availability.

Thank you all so much for the support throughout the years. Keep safe during these uncertain times and I cannot wait to see you all very soon 💕

Hi all ❤

We are receiving messages left, right and centre from new clients asking if we are still open and taking appointments for grooming.

When the current lockdown measures were announced, we made the really tough decision to close the salon temporarily for the safety of everyone. Pet retail sales such as food were classed as essential. Grooming, however, was never categorised and though there is the argument of necessity for welfare, we absolutely felt the right and responsible thing to do was to close our doors for the safety of our staff and customers.
Vets are available in these select few cases of necessity for welfare.
Even with the right protocols and PPE there are no guarantees for us - even when we return there won't be.

Luckily, all of our four legged clients are groomed on a regular schedule and therefore even those due in now will manage with one missed haircut. All that is needed is a little bit of brushing and combing at home, and we all know we have lots of time to fit that in! 🤷🏼‍♀️
Lockdown or no lockdown, we would ALWAYS strongly suggest that you don't change from groomer to groomer unnecessarily.
Simply put, it is unfair to your dog, who trusts your groomer, and to your groomer, who has spent time building up that relationship with your dog, and really cares for them.
There are many dogs who don't find the grooming process all that easy and having a person handle them with care who they are familiar with, can be what makes it bearable for them.

If ever it is necessary to find a new groomer, it is advisable to check out the grooming salon - if they are registered, tax compliant, insured etc. Then you could bring your dog to meet their new groomer so they have some familiarity before their first appointment, instead of simply choosing the first available.

From our groomer's point of view they are missing all the dogs and itching to get back to work. From a small business point of view it is a worrying and difficult time for us. We worry about bills, and we worry about how we will manage when we do return as we already have long waiting lists.
Trust us when we say, if we could operate as normal we would.
This is a scary time for everyone, and a sad time for many, but we will work together and get through this.
Please support local businesses, and support your dog groomer, whether that is us or another salon. ❤

🐾Bathing your dog at home🐾

1. Brush your dog before bathing to remove any mats.
2. Prep bath. If possible try to place a rubber mat in the bath to prevent slipping. DO NOT FILL THE BATH WITH WATER.
3. Wet your dog in lukewarm water using a hose/ shower head.
4. Use shampoo suited to your dog. Start at the neck and lather shampoo throughout their body and legs. Be careful using shampoo around their eyes. Use a cloth around their face. Do not get shampoo onto their ears.
5. Wash all the shampoo out of their coat.
6. Dry your dog with a towel. For short hair dogs you can let them air dry. If your dog has a longer coat, dry with a hair dryer on the lowest setting. Do not dry close to the skin as it can burn the skin.
7. Finally brush your dog out when dry to make sure there are no mats or tangles. Do not forget to reward your dog with a treat or their favorite toy and a lit of praise 🐾
