The Purple Door

The Purple Door Damian and Linda are very pleased to announce that after lots of product research 'The Purple Door' soap company is up and running.

After years of frustration using every skincare product imaginable on our daughters, their ezecma inevitably never cleared up and in some cases got worse. Using the traditional method of blending Sodium Hydroxide together with a blend of olive oil, sustainable palm and coconut oils together with organic shea butter for that extra touch of luxury. Lastly, we add natural essential oils or fragrance

oils for the perfect bar of soap. After much encouragement from friends we now find ourselves in the cosmetic business (thank you Maeve). All our products are vegetarian, we do not use animal tallow. None of our products have been tested on animals, only ourselves, friends and family. At present we are producing soaps and lip balms. Over the coming months we will be producing bath bombs, body butter, face cream, foot cream, hand cream, moisturiser, shampoo bar and just for the mutts in your life, dog shampoo. At present we have Lime and Sweet Orange, Honey and Goatsmilk, Patchuoli and Tuberose, Lemon and Black Pepper, Champagne and Angels and, for the hippy in us all, pure Patchuoli. We will soon have both our website and twitter up and running. We will use both twitter and facebook to announce special offers and new products. Finally, all our products are made in Ireland in the village of Ballon in the delightful County Carlow.

Well, after many weeks in the soap kitchen, we have now perfected competition winner Jean Kelly's choice of soap. Pine, wild honeysuckle and rose. Our soap takes three weeks to cure, so in a little while Jean will be getting her own fragranced soap and it will also go on sale.
