Spaying a cat (removing the ovaries and uterus) has several important benefits: 🐱🐈

Prevent Overpopulation: Spaying helps reduce the number of unwanted kittens, as it eliminates the possibility of your cat getting pregnant.

Health Benefits: Spaying can reduce the risk of certain health issues.

Behavioral Benefits: Spayed cats are often calmer and less likely to potray behaviors such as vocalising or attempting to escape to find a mate.

Longer Lifespan: Spayed cats typically live longer, as they're less likely to develop reproductive-related health problems.

No Heat Cycles: Female cats go into heat periodically, and this can be a stressful and noisy experience. Spaying stops these cycles.

Sadie, our brave young puppy.

This baby girl had an accident that caused nerve damage, leaving her unable to use her hind legs. 🥺

However, we are happy to share that after several months, she has slowly started walking on her back legs 🦵

Maggie is so stylish 😎💋

This gorgeous girl had an oronasal fistula which we surgically repaired.

An oronasal fistula is an abnormal connection between the oral cavity (mouth) and the nasal cavity. This condition can cause difficulty in eating and may lead to nasal regurgitation of food or fluids.

Hello from Benjamin 👋.

Little man visited us for his 2nd stage dental. 🐾

Did you know that we have a certified dental vet in Clondalkin. She is one of a kind. Thank you Lorraine for doing a great job. Our patients are much happier when their dental care is up to date. Sometimes they do a great job at hiding oral issues.

This is Ronnie, he was hospitalised for a few days due to tummy issues. He is now doing much better. 🐶

Have you ever noticed tummy issues in your pet ? Do you know the symptoms and when you need to contact your veterinarian?

Here is a quick guideline:

Frequent or Severe Vomiting/Diarrhea:
If the vomiting and diarrhea are happening more than once or are particularly intense, it's time to call a vet.

Duration:
If the vomiting and diarrhea last for more than 24-48 hours, it's a good idea to consult a vet, as prolonged symptoms could lead to dehydration or indicate a more serious issue.

Blood or Unusual Colors:
If you notice blood in either the vomit or stool, or if the stool is black (indicating blood), contact a vet immediately.

Lethargy or Weakness:
If your pet seems unusually tired, weak, or unresponsive, or if their behavior changes significantly, it's important to call the vet.

Dehydration Signs:
If your pet shows signs of dehydration (dry gums, sunken eyes, loss of skin elasticity), it’s critical to reach out to a vet right away.

Other Symptoms:
If your pet is also having trouble breathing, showing signs of pain (whining, avoiding touch), or has a bloated abdomen, you should seek immediate veterinary care.

If Your Pet Is Very Young, Old, or Has Pre-existing Health Conditions:
Puppies, kittens, senior pets, or pets with underlying health issues are more vulnerable and should be monitored closely.

If you're concerned about your pet’s health, it’s never wrong to call us for advice.
