Regardless of Size we train all breeds genuinely we do not pre assess then refuse to help.

Here at LL-DOG-TRAINING-ACADEMY We like to run family friendly classes.
We do not limit the amount of children whi can attend.
We encourage the children to take part in class under parental supervision.
We do not tell children to be quiet.
We teach the dogs that they must behave regardless what is going on this is tauggt over the course.

Today was recall an energy filled class with lots of distraction because when your out with your dog getting him or her to return with distractions can be hard.

This evening we worked with Mollie just her second session for her reactivity.
We passed 10 dogs approximately and both Sophie and Mollie did brilliantly.
Sophie had tried another trainer but it didn't work out.

Here at LL-DOG-TRAINING-ACADEMY we do nit use treats or distraction we work on the owner mostly when it comes to reactive dogs.

We start with basic control leash training how to control dog in different situations.

We then work in park near dog park ( not in isolation) and teach owner how to read dogs body language when dogs are approaching changing dogs nind but owner remaining calm.

3rd session we will allow dog to make up it's own mind let Mollie decide does she want to interact properly with dogs.

4th session we introduce dog to play in the dog park. We do not think dogs are fixed until they can be sociable.

Working with reactive dogs is not for inexperienced trainers or behaviourist ensure who you chose has year's of experience behind them working on this side of dog behaviour correction.

In our Basic obedience classes we have a Re call class.
We try to make this a really fun class for all involved.
But also put a lot of distraction in place.
From having other members of class walk across path dog will be taking towards owner to having members calling dog and owner not being allowed to call there dog until I say so.

What i love about this is it show the control you can achieve just with understanding.
3 young dogs remaining in the Stay position.

The Importance of Tones when training correcting dogs and puppies.

Here at LL-DOG-TRAINING-ACADEMY. we focus on understanding of the dog and how they communicate with each other.

We use Body language tone and energy to achieve control not treat and tools.

Understanding tone is important.
Low. Tones are used to control dogs and puppies because low tones calm dog's energy.

How did we come up with this Concept.
We learnt from dogs. From a very early age not just being happy seeing what dog's did but figuring out why they did this.
Not in a school or lab setting but by spending hours and hours over 40 years watching dogs and how they behave.

Through this we learnt that low tones control energy and behaviour. A mother raising her puppies will growl at her puppies to stop them doing anything she does not want them to do. So we use this in our training low tone almost growl like commands to achieve what we want and proven it works.
Dont misunderstand the growl as aggressive it is not. Growl is the first part of the communication what the most important part is of this is how you are feeling at the time.
If you give strong low tone command and are calm your dog will comply calmly to this.
It you are nervous or anxious depending on the disposition of your dog it will respond either by cowering or getting protective.
If you are angry the dog will just submit to you as owner.

The reason high pitch sounds shouldn't be used in correction commands is they switch on high energy prey drive mindset.
I see lots trainer's using high pitch and treats to train dog's in my opinion both these thing's have flaws (as im sure has mine but not as bad) high pitch gets the dog to excited for most training.
We only use high pitched voice to engage in play this is the method we use to get our dogs to focus on the handler during training sessions. As high pitch noises get excited just like squeaky toys do. So only when dog or puppy becomes disengaged do we use high pitch or when puppy or dog is on training break during session.

If you would like to comment or question these method please do. Ive attached just one of many videos we have of training sessions using our methods. We also have great success in rehabiltatng reactivity in dog's in a lot of cases where other behaviourist and trainers have failed.

Here at LL-DOG-TRAINING-ACADEMY we pride ourselves on the quality of the classes and the 1 2 1 sessions we provide. Yes there's lots joking and banter during sessions but this to create a relax enjoyable experience.
But if we do not think that a session or class was up to our standards then it does not count as was evident this weeks but.
No ones fault but one of the obedience classes just didn't go to plan this happens the odd time.
A 1 2 1 session was unlucky in that for some very strange reason not a dog in the park or dog park at 5pm on Sunday. So although not our fault that session diid not meet standard we expect.
