Another brilliant and interactive farm tour, this time with all international guests 🛩️! It’s so great when everyone has lots of questions and we can have proper chats

Sam and Lauren came all the way from the US 🇺🇸, and Amy Zhang and her family from China 🇨🇳

Sam and Lauren are urban beekeepers 🐝 from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and they brought me a lovely bottle of their honey 🍯. It’s already on the shelf in my office alongside all the other honeys I’ve received from around the world 🍯🍯🍯

Ever wonder how I make sure I have enough bees for next year's honey harvest? 🍯🍯🍯

Meet the nucleus hive! As I harvest my summer honey, I also take the opportunity to create these "nucs." 🐝🐝🐝

They serve as starter homes for new colonies, allowing me to raise new queens and replace any hives I may lose over the winter.

It's a vital part of my sustainable beekeeping practices, ensuring my apiaries remains strong and productive 🐝🍯🍯🍯

Heather is looking early this year. Time to get the summer honey off and the hives moved up the mountains 🐝🐝🐝

Not a great day for the bees again so catching up with some indoor jobs.

My 2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ gold star heather honey is running low so bottling up another few buckets to keep the shelves topped up 🍯🍯🍯

In just over 5 weeks time they'll be returning back up the mountains to start making this year's heather honey 🐝🍯

A great group with lots of questions and I even learned about 3D printing, but thats going to be a winter project

We got a couple of showers but we managed to see lots of bees and they were on their best behavior 🐝🐝🐝
