Raw food doesnt have to look pretty but adding a few colourfull things can make it look that way🤩

Treat the dog, not the disease

This quote should stay in everyones mind when they go to veterinary practices, dog nutritionists and more.

When you go to a professional with an issue your dog is having and they dont ask about your dogs lifestyle, exercise, or/and diet, and they just recommend a supplement and tell you to come back. Than you are wasting you time as they are treating the disease and not your dog as an individual.

At dublindogcare nutrition, when you come to us with an issue, there is no one fix for all, as every dog is different. We will ask you many questions to make you feel like your dog is apart of us and that we are treating your dog, and not just the issue.

We have already talked on my page about how bad chemical de wormers are but lets make a tasty treat that you can mix into your dogs food to help with those buggers!

In a blender add
- 1 cup of peeled garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 tbsps diamateous earth (food grade)
- optional : spoonfull of papaya seeds
- optional : pumpkin seeds 4tbsps
Blend it all until smooth, you can add a little bit of water to make it easier to blend

Portion out into portions such as
1/4tsp per 5kg dog

Feed at least twice a week

Freeze it so it can last up to 6 months or 1 week in the fridge

Adding seafood to your dogs diet in either raw, cooked or powdered form adds a lot of benefits such as:
- Omega3 which reduce inflammation
- salmon has great levels of omega3 which can help reduce inflammation and help dry and flaky skin
- green lipped mussels reduce inflammation, aid join movement and cartilage regeneration
- sardines, sprats, smelt are small oily fish with high levels of omega3 that help reduce inflammation, aid skin and coat health ans eye health too. These fish are also low in heavy metals unlike tuna!
- mackerel and all the other fish are high in vitamin D and B12 which help the immune system and reduce inflammation
- oysters are another great one with high levels of zinc which helps the immune system as a whole
Always start of small with any new fish and watch for any allergic reactions in dogs such as diarrhea, itchy skin, gas etc

Golden paste made from turmeric has many benefits such as :
- anti inflammatory
- warming on joins(especially good for dogs that always sit in the sun "chineese medicine")
- calms down the digestive system
- supports organs from within

How to make it?

- One jar of turmeric (usually around 45g)
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups water
- Big spoonfull of coconut oil
- optional: black pepper (can irritate the dogs stomach)
- optional : cinnamon, ginger

In a pot on medium heat, combine turmeric and water, bring to boil and simmer until the mixture is thick,

Take of the stove and add your coconut oil until fully mixed in and your optional herbs

Place it all in a jar and keep in the fridge for up to a week or freeze in portions for up to 6 months

Has you vet told you that your dog need to be on a monthly preventative because its so dangerous to them if they catch those buggers?!

Im 99% sure at some point they did! But what they didnt tell you is the side effects of using those chemicals! And they dont do anything other than cause harm!

If you ever looked at the leaflet from thosw monthly preventatives, they list a bunch of side effects including
- seizures
- aggression
- dermatitis
- skin irritation
- allergies
- DEATH! YES YOU READ IT RIGHT!

Thousands of dogs suffer from these chemicals each year and a vet wont admit that was the reason, they will just give you more medicine to help those "weird new symptoms" making your dog worst!

Heres some natural preventatives you can use instead!
- minced garlic daily in their food 1/4tsp pet 7kg
- apple cider vinegar daily 1/2tsp pet 7kg
- dont bug me treatment by and many other ones they have too!
- ticked off from holistic hound
- worm wood from holistic hound for deworming
- rabbit ears at least 3 times per week
- probiotics! Yes you read it right, those buggers dont like healthy immune systems!
- diamateous earth (food grade) rubbed on the skin especially during the season foe ticks& fleas and in their food for at leadt 5 days per month 1tsp for dogs under 15kg and 1 tbsp for dogs over 15kg
