This post is borrowed from the UK, but we think it's relevant to Irish Dogs too!!
If you are walking a dog tomorrow or over the next few days - go out in the early morning or late evening when itโs cooler. DO NOT walk a dog during the hottest parts of the day.
Donโt run or cycle with your dog when itโs hot.
DO NOT leave them in the car or tied up in the heat!
Pavements can get very hot! You know the saying, "it's hot enough to fry an egg!" Imagine what that does to your poor dogs' feet! If the ground is too hot to touch with your hand for five seconds, itโs too hot for paws!
