🔥 HEAT HAZARD WARNING FOR PETS 🔥

With the beautiful sunshine here in Costa Del Cloyne, we can’t help but push a serious reminder: heatstroke can be deadly, and it happens fast. At the moment we are seeing even humans panting- not a mind our little furry friends!!

Animals can’t sweat like we do. Dogs, cats, and other pets overheat quickly, and by the time they show signs, it can already be an emergency.

🚫 NEVER leave pets in cars, not even for a minute.
🚫 Avoid walking dogs during the heat of the day (11am–7pm is often too hot).
🚫 Check pavements with your hand, if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws.

🔍 Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting or drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Bright red or pale gums
• Confusion or seizures

🐾 High-risk pets include:
• Flat-faced breeds (Pugs, Bulldogs, etc.)
• Older animals
• Overweight pets
• Rabbits and small furries (ensure shade and airflow!)

If you’re ever unsure please do call us immediately. Heatstroke is a medical emergency, but early action can save lives.
