Caroline has just been looking after a lovely group of Americans who were in Ireland for a week. They had time in Dublin, saw Trinity and the Book of Kells. Visited The Donkey Sanctuary and saw Water Buffalo and tasted some fabulous cheese. They Visited Tullamore Dew and tasted 5 different whiskeys. They went riding in the Slieve Blooms and had dinner in Kinnity Castle. The next day they saw sheepdogs in action and the Cliffs of Moher. Gavin Cromwell's racing yard was a big hit followed by watching an equine treadmill in action. The Irish National Stud and racing in Kilbeggan finished the week off.

Meet Emer. Emer’s role within Equipeople is in the travel section. She assists the students with all stages of their travel plans, from the moment they arrive until the moment they depart. Emer is originally from Dublin and started off her career as a Florist, where she worked in a busy flower shop for many years. She moved to Portarlington 22 years ago with her first-born son and is now a mother to 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. One of Emer's sons is currently in Australia so she knows what it's like being a parent with a child abroad. She has been with us for a couple of years now and is doing a fantastic job of making sure that everyone gets to where they need to be.

Thirty students traveled to Ireland with Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences in May, as part of the three-credit course, ANSC 499: Ireland's Equine Industry, to see how horses are used in the country.

Mandy and Linda are in Galway with the 2026 Summer Tour. This year there are 51 students on the tour and for the first time ever we had a waiting list. Today the group had free time in Galway and went to the Cliffs of Moher in the afternoon with a stop at the beach on the way.

Here at Equipeople we are big into animal welfare and we can't emphasise enough how important it is to get your cats neutered. Female cats can have up to 20 kittens a year and can get pregnant as young as 4 months old. Those kittens then have their own kittens creating hundreds of unwanted and uncared for kittens. Animal charities are up to their ears with unwanted kittens at the moment and here at the Equipeople office we are fostering three of them for Offaly SPCA. Please make sure your cats both male and female are neutered
