So i have some news!!!!
I am so thrilled to let you all know that I am the new owner of Dogchester Luxury Pet Hotel in South Lanarkshire.
Its been a crazy busy few months, so ive only just now managed to put together a little video tour, featuring the dashingly handsome Bear who truly thinks he now lives in doggie disneyland.
Its been a dream come true to finally move to the countryside, and to walk out my back door and arrive at work 4 seconds later is bizarre but it means I get to be fully hands on.
Ive had a blast turning The Dogchester into an absolute heaven for dogs.
Seeing all the relaxed guests in their rooms as I walk past makes my heart happy!

Parents, please see that this dog is desperately requesting space, the child should not have been allowed approach this dog. He is begging for space. Give it to him.

Whether it is fireworks causing him stress (i have my doubts) or the childs presence, either way you do NOT allow a child enter a dogs personal space without the dog requesting it. He needs space. This is so important!! I call it treat and retreat.
It gives the dog breathing space and they then welcome your presence so much quicker.
Its also my go to if you need to capture a loose dog who is nervous.

Im so chuffed to have finally achieved Clinical Animal Behaviourist level with the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors - APBC .
I have been an Accredited Animal Behaviourist with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants for it think 12 or 13 years now, and to the dog owning public, and career wise, that has been enough. It ensured I was approved by insurance providers for vet referral behaviour work, perform expert witness duties, it met the need of various tv production companies etc.

But for me, it wasn't enough. I knew in my heart that I hadn't been assessed at CAB level, the highest level there is in the behaviour world.

And for my own belief in myself, and stubbornness, I always wanted to reach CAB level.

However life always got in the way.

Last year I decided it was now or never, 2025 was always going to be a chaotic year, and i really, really wanted this!

The application process was really fair, and honestly thoroughly enjoyable.

So proud of myself today!! 🥳🥳

I'm not interested in debating with others on why the use of pain / fear / intimidation has no place in training.
I speak out on behalf of the dog owners who are mislead into the use of such methods.
I am not here to change the opinions of 'balanced' trainers.
I am here to use my educated and experienced voice to continue to advocate for those who are voiceless.
I don't bite. And that includes when pro pain / fear / intimation trainers try to dangle bait.
I have zero interest in conversing with you on the subject matter.
I wish you well, and I am confident that one day you will see the error of your ways. When that day comes, my door is open.
