This is Willow. And this took weeks. Not months. Weeks.

A few weeks ago she couldn't get within 10 feet of another dog without completely losing it. Barking, lunging, pulling so hard you'd think she was trying to go through the fence. Zero interest in us. Zero.

And I get it. When you're being dragged down the road every single walk, it stops feeling like something you can fix. It just starts to feel like your dog.

But here's what actually changed things:

No magic. No flooding her with triggers until she gave up. Just getting her to care about coming back to us more than she cared about the trigger. Teaching her that sniffing and settling was worth more than reacting. Building up to the point where she could be off-lead, see another dog running straight at her, and choose to come back.

That last bit? That's not luck. That's a clear structure, consistent reps, and a dog who finally understood what we were asking of her.

One thing I'll say about this process — follow it in order. Every step is there for a reason. Skip one and you'll likely find yourself stuck, wondering why it's not clicking. The owners who see results like this are the ones who trust the process and don't jump ahead.

And we got there in weeks.

The full breakdown of exactly how we did it is in a free guide. Comment SPICY and I'll send it straight to you.

Most of the pushback on the last post was not about whether it works. It was about whether people wanted to do it.

Too busy. Two dogs. Raw fed. Dog should not have to work for food.

Call it what you want. I still believe at least part of your dog's daily food should go through you, not just into a bowl. That is how you build value, relevance, and a dog that sees you as more than background furniture.

If this annoys you, comment and tell me why.

We've all had walks that feel like pure chaos, so moments like this mean a lot.

Especially when little Vinny keeps his focus on me, even though a dog was losing their s**t at us 30 seconds earlier.

The poor lady was doing everything she could to move her dog on, and honestly, thank you to whoever you were.

Proud of this little lad.

You say "Yes" and your dog just carries on sniffing.

I see this every single week. Owners who have been using a marker word for months, sometimes years, and it does absolutely nothing under pressure. The moment a trigger appears, the word is invisible.

A marker word is not just a sound you make before you hand over a treat. It is supposed to trigger a physical, emotional response. A snap of the head. A surge of drive. An anticipation that is almost impossible to ignore.

If that is not happening, the word was never properly charged.

The Newton's Cradle method is how we fix that. We use movement and prey drive to build a genuine emotional response first, and then we attach the marker word to that moment. Not the other way around.

Swipe through for the full breakdown.

Comment CRADLE below and I will send you the free PDF guide, including a link to the full video so you can see the drill in action on a real board and train dog.

What marker word do you use? Drop it in the comments.

Walking a dog that's going to weigh as much as you do someday is stressful enough.

Add a tangled leash, tripping risk, and that feeling of fumbling every time you grab the lead, and it becomes overwhelming. I was working with a client recently who said exactly that.

She knew her Bernese Mountain Dog puppy was going to get strong. She just didn't want to feel like she was wrestling with the leash while building that foundation.

So here's the handbrake technique we used to keep her feeling in control, confident, and ready for what's coming. It keeps the leash clear of your feet while giving you total control at all times.

Try this on your next walk and let me know how it changes things.

Are you fumbling with your leash and tripping over it on walks, or do you have it dialled in? Drop a comment.
