Barking Mad Cobh Barking Mad Cobh at PetsPlus is a small dog grooming salon run by Hailey Moore ICMG Award winning salon and Grooming. Handstripping and Breed clips!

Barking Mad was purchased in 2016 by Hailey Moore, an IPDGA registered member and Advanced International Certified Groomer based in Cobh. Hailey is also a Canine First Responder and life member of the Irish Kennel Club.

There are only 5 full weeks left until we take our Christmas break! We usually take at least two weeks off after Christmas and this year that begins from 22nd December! Not fully decided on our return date quite yet but should be between 7th and 12th January 😊

We will be working two weeks straight up to Christmas as usual and we want to accommodate everyone but we can only do what we can do and once the appointments are gone they’re gone!
Please book ahead to avoid disappointment! We have plenty to space next week and the week after but after that i expect it will start getting tight!

Are we all ready for Halloween tomorrow? I love Samhain but sometimes it’s easy to forget how it can affect our furry friends! Best to keep pets indoors through festivities to keep them safe! Many animals will bolt in fear because of fireworks and strangers running around in costumes is certainly not their idea of fun! So spoil your pets and keep them safe and snug somewhere they feel comfortable! And enjoy tomorrow!

Another year, another Madra Mania! The National groomings champs! We came 3rd in the Handstrip Championship class with JoJo the English Cocker Spaniel! 2nd in the Scissor “anything but poodle” Championship class with Mylo the Bichon Frise and sadly no placement in the championship clipped class with Holly the Miniature Schnauzer although I’m really happy with her before and after result!
As usual thanks to the dog owners who are so supportive and kind letting me steal their dogs for the trip! They were a joy to have and a joy to groom! Thanks too to the Judges, the Organisers, my friends Aishling and Rosie for helping all weekend and Chris for holding down the fort at home! 😂
An extra bonus this weekend was my friend Karen Hogan winning 1st place in the Championship handstrip with my Neasa the Scottish Terrier! And ultimately going on to win Groomer of the year!!! Huge congratulations to Karen and her success! I’m so proud of you and Neasa! And all your amazing dogs! So well deserved!!! 🥳🎊💃🏽
