Tough job grooming this little cutie today, she had a very tough start to life which left her very untrusting of people and angry.
But i was called in to work on her and i went at her pace. To build up trust and help her feel more comfortable. With our end goal being her enjoying being groomed and looking forward to seeing me.
I started to de-shed her yesterday and spent time with her, then came back again today so I could get her into the bath safely.
And the second she got in she was wagging her tail, and calm as anything.

Now officially deshedded, nails done, and washed and dried for her very first time she's like a totally different dog 😍

It's cases like her that made me love grooming dogs in rescues the most, because you can physically see how good they feel after and the change in behaviour once they've been washed and groomed for the first time it makes it all worth it ❤️

Can't wait to see her again in 6 weeks x

As of May the 5th I've officially completed my qualifications in Dog Grooming, Canine Obedience, Animal Welfare and Veterinary Assisting Skills, along with Grooming Science and a few other science based modules that will help me move from veterinary nursing into veterinary medicine over the next few years please god 🤞😁

But as of now I will be back open as a private, mobile dog groomer.
Grooming from home, or doing house calls (within the current safety guidelines)

Services I will be running from May 5th are:

-Dog Walking (lead training can be included)
And
-Dog grooming. (price list to follow, but discounted for summer months)
