This little legend headed off to his new home this week, and wow… he’s going to be missed.
When he first arrived, he was basically feral — you couldn’t get near him. It took us a full month just to earn his trust. And believe it or not, he was the first cob I ever produced 🤣 so I was very confused about this whole “cobs are easy” reputation.

But bit by bit he just kept getting better, and somewhere along the way he completely stole my heart.

A special mare I had the pleasure to work with at a race yard, she had her doubts about humans and a high flight instinct. She trusted the whole process and was easy to back at the end.

Ps. Desensitising training is not all about wave scary objects until the horse is “used” to and stop running away from it. Common mistake. It is about helping the horse to find relaxation in situations that would make them worried, tense consequently running/bolting away.
