Pawz N’ Clawz is officially back to work and Brady is officially back seeing his friends - All is right with the world again 🎉🐶🫶🏻❤️
Firstly, I want to thank all my wonderful clients again for sticking by me, supporting me and sending all your kind words and prayers my direction in what I can only describe as a whirlwind five months - between myself and Brady 😅
Update on Brady - He had a vet check up before we went away to Bucharest and the vet was very happy with him 🫶🏻 The day I came home I was allowed to let him off lead in the garden again and he just went out and did his business and came back in 🤣 (Granted he decided to not look at me for a few hours as he was annoyed I left him for nearly two weeks 🤣) His best friend Teddy called over to visit last week, and again yesterday, and he was delighted to be able to run around and play with him again 🫶🏻❤️ Brady was back playing with his friends in daycare (4 months to the date 🥺) for a few hours on Thursday and his cousin Bobby came to stay Friday night so normality has completely resumed for him after a long five months 🥺🐾
Update on myself - A month post op and my recovery is going extremely well! I was going in preparing for the worst and got the best possible outcome 🫶🏻 Surgery couldn’t have gone better either - the whole process would really put Ireland to shame! While it was worse than originally showed on my MRI, it was nothing my surgeon couldn’t handle and I haven’t taken one painkiller since leaving the hospital 😅 It’s important to remember that I will have an up and down recovery for the next 6-12 months - I could have worse pain and unfortunately surgery isn’t a permanent fix as it can grow back so it’s possible I haven’t seen the end of Bucharest 😅 I wouldn’t hesitate to hop on a plane in the morning if I had to though! Fingers crossed for the future though 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Normality will continue to resume for me over the next few months 🫶🏻❤️
I am back driving the last 2 weeks (it was short trips to begin with), getting out and about most days and actually officially started work on Friday (a whole month early🤣) - I had a GP check up on Wednesday and all went brilliant 🫶🏻❤️
And while I know everyone has my best interests at heart, if I hear ‘take it easy’ one more time 😅 I know my body and what it is and isn’t capable of. While it doesn’t feel like I’ve had surgery and my incisions have healed amazingly well, I was struggling with exhaustion for a few weeks. My body has also broken out in a rash as an inflammatory response to everything it’s been put through 😅 I have had to be reminded I’ve been through major surgery and it could take up to six months of exhaustion before I feel normal again. I’m worse being at home doing nothing, especially as I’ve spent the last five months being at home with Brady and all, and essentially being out of work. I need to get back to some bit of work before I go crazy 😅 So that’s what I’ve done - started with bookings I know I can handle ☺️ (obviously I know not to take hyperactive jumping big dogs) 🤣 and thankfully in the last couple of days I’ve been feeling more normal and not as tired 🫶🏻❤️
To add to my whole ‘I am taking it easy’ - I am now nearly fully booked for June - September 😅🤣😅 I have very very limited availability for these months!! By now I should have gotten back to everyone regarding dates (or very nearly at least), and while I’ve tried my best to work around the dates everyone wanted, unfortunately it hasn’t been possible for everyone as I can’t clone myself and be in 2 or 3 places at once for overnight stays (trust me I wish I could 😅). I still have overnight availability for my own home for some dates for both existing and new clients (providing they get on well with dogs and cats obviously) and I can still always fit in day visits ☺️🐶🐱
So here’s to an exciting summer ahead seeing all my favourite furry friends again 🫶🏻 Overdue lots of cuddles!! 🐶🐱❤️🐾
Lots of love, Natasha & Brady 🐶❤️xx
