The first of the early summer York cabbage A variety called Hispi continue to plant new cabbage plants every few weeks for continuous picking all summer and autumn and remember to plant some Nasturtiums plants to draw the cabbage white butterflies away from all your brassica plants a nice organic way to control caterpillars Enjoy your garden this week

300km cycle completed Dublin to Cong in co mayo in aid of the brilliant children’s charity Daisy Lodge 4 Mayo 56 cyclists left Dublin on Friday morning and rolled safely into Cong on Saturday evening. The event was extremely well organised and the route was fantastic showing off the best of Irelands scenery

Zip locked and placed in the fridge your salad leaves stay fresh for two weeks ( if they last that long )
